Been on a golf weekend near by and tbh the hotel was very expensive and the food bland so we wanted a night out in a good pub.... We certainly found that... 14 of us turned up en-mass... drinks were flowing and we were able to eat in the restaurant part, it never seemed an issue. We ordered food 14... More

We paid a visit here on a recommendation. Food wise it was exceptional. Very fresh and great quality. The menu was varied enough and catered for younger children too. My youngest who can be picky said they were the best chicken nuggets she'd ever had. Yes, it was only nuggets but she rarely eats the crumb but she loved the... More

We do pride ourselves on the quality off the foo and glad you enjoyed your steak. We are lucky enough to be able to buy our sirloin steaks from Todenham manor farm which... More

Needed some good pub grub after a long walk and this pub fitted the bill perfectly. Service was very friendly and so too was the atmosphere. A kind of modern but retro style with good selection of ales with random seating and tables. Food was first class and reasonably priced. The pub is located in the centre of the town... More

Family friendly pub with a converted stables dining room. Simple but delicious menu. You have to try the pies. Service was friendly perhaps tad bit slow. I would recommend this pub for lunch/dinner.

Back in the day it was a lovely pub to visit, usual thing happens, closed for months only to find that they have spoilt a lovely pub! Very expensive. Not happy to visit

Hi Jane, We feel very sad that you do not like the Decor of the Blue Boar. Due to many of the works be essential to restore the fabrication of the buliding the majority was left untouched and only enhanced by lighting. All the exsisting features remain including the original beams and stone work. Our pricing just reflects the quality... More

Was stuck for somewhere for dinner as our hotel restaurant was full with a wedding in full flow, so headed into Chipping Norton & liked the look of the Blue Boar. We were welcomed by a young lady (Louisa) who quickly showed us to a table in the atrium area of the restaurant. It was very pleasant & l loved... More

Having a pleasant day out my friend and I stumbled across the Blue Boar seeking a spot of lunch and what a great find it was. We were greeted by two lovely ladies whose service we could not fault. We'd booked a table pre-theatre for an early meal and were made to feel very welcome. The food was excellent - I had the steak and ale pie which was amazing, served with very fresh vegetables and superb gravy, followed by sticky toffee pudding, also excellent. I visited the Blur Boar with a few friends recently and had a brilliantly night! It's a really nice country feel pub.
