A fantastic welcome and attention to our needs, however after we had had our main course we felt we were being rushed. Two children in our party who were promised sweets from the sweet barrow but by the time we had finished our food the sweet barrow had gone!!! The food however was absolutely brilliant

Called in for a meet up Christmas lunch with my cousin. Very welcoming and seated straight away. Menu choices were good and reasonably priced. Food hot, tasty and plenty of it. We went for the carvery option. Good selection of veg and well cooked. Have agreed to meet there again next year.

I have been to the carvery many times, the food is excellent with limited choice of roasts. They have the best selection of desserts I have seen in a long time. Coffee is an extra charge

You have to be carefull with carverys as the meat and potatoes can dry up. This was a worry of mine when we booked here. Boy was I wrong I opted for the turkey it was not dry at all but very succulent and moist. Lovely fluffy potatoes and a choice of veg. The turkey looked like it could feed... More

We had a lovely lunch in this restaurant. Yes, it's old-fashioned but that has it's own charm. The man at the carvery was chatty and friendly and very generous with his helpings. Some carveries are a bit dry but the veg in this one was all freshly cooked and delicious. A bit miserly with the desert trolley though, given the... More

An over all good experience here. The reception was warm and friendly although our table was by the entrance and the toilet door which may have been due to booking late. The restaurant was very clean and had a good atmosphere with the rear view overlooking beautiful countryside. The roast was excellent and enjoyed by us all and served by... More

We went as a group on Saturday lunch 28/10/16 - The choice of about 20 fresh looking starters or soup was enough to tempt most appetites. The choice of 3 meat carvery + steak pie made a difference - all hot & tasty. Small criticism = vegetable choice was limited & getting cold. Desert range of about 6 different choices,... More

We had a lovely meal here. The restaurant was not to busy and the service was good. I like the fact that you can help yourself to as little or much as you like with the starters and main course. The only area that could have been slightly improved is that a lot of the desserts were shop bought, which... More

The carvery we had as a large group was very good and plenty of fresh vegetables was presented when the dishes started to get low, and the chef was helpful and cheerful. The waitress were friendly and helpful to.
