Having written a fair number of reviews perhaps I have been fortunate enough not to write many poor ones, however on this occasion I feel it is justified. Having dined at the Maytime for a friends birthday in February we were eager to return. As a relative was visiting it was a good opportunity to take them for dinner on... More

We had a really excellent meal at lunchtime last week. Slightly unusual dishes (as well as the more traditional expected) were well executed and presented. I loved the sea bream with asparagus and cream sauce (although the gherkin was a bit too sharp in contrast), and the rhubarb platter was delightful. My son enjoyed his starter of duck egg, his... We stopped here for 3 nights as well. The food was so good and the menu extensive enough that though we only booked for 2 nights dinner B&B we stopped for a third as we couldn't imagine getting better!

Although you do have to book and we e planned we were veggies, nothing was any problem for them. Freshly cooked and delicious - we also went back for tea and that was lovely too. Fantastic environment, and atmosphere. Go at least once!

Stayed here with a friend for a get together & gossip evening. My friend likes her gin & the fantastic selection at The Maytime is the idea of every gin lovers heaven. The best was Doms recommendation of Conker gin served with elderflower tonic & slices of apple My friend tells me it was superb! I'm not a gin drinker... More

Friendly country pub with large garden. The food at lunchtime was good. The major downside for me is that dogs are allowed everywhere. They should never be anywhere tht food is served.

We stayed here for two nights on a weekend away from London and loved it. The hotel is in a small historic village and has true Cotswolds character. The welcome was friendly and informative, the rooms are well appointed and well finished with modern facilities, although a bit small for a few nights with minimal luggage they were ideal. The... The vibe in this pub is lovely, its warm and welcoming! Alfie the dog has a lovely temperament and you can feed him treats from the bar. My partner and I visit regularly on a friday evening for drinks and snacks- we can definitely recommend the cheese board to share, very reasonably priced at less than £10 and the cheeses... More
