I happened to be in Nottingham with my significant other on Valentine's Day, and all the places that I narrow-mindedly viewed as the more usual places for a romantic dinner were fully booked. And then I stumbled upon an Indian restaurant called MemSaab that had garnered one accolade after another, and we both love Indian food, so I pounced on... More

It takes a lot for for an Indian to be impressed by an Indian restaurant. This one is one of those which gets everything right. 40 of us celebrated my mothers 65th birthday here recently and couldn't fault the place. The staff were attentive and efficient. Each member of staff could have been the owner of the place such was... More

We found Memsaab when we visited Nottingham in November. We found the food. And service to be excellent and decided to return for our Daughter' birthday treat. We were not disappointed. As previously the service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. We particularly appreciated the advice on choice of dishes - it enabled us to select a great selection... More

We were in Nottingham visiting friends when we decided to dine at Memsaab. It was a Saturday evening at although we had an early booking, the restaurant was quite full and there was a lovely atmosphere. We were shown to our tables swiftly and we got ordering. Our waiter made several recommendations and from the moment we arrived we were... More

A group of 16 of us came here for dinner. The hostess, waitresses and waiters were top notch - very accommodating for our large group with some special requests. Team were able to look after all of our peculiarities without fail. As a large group we were a little loud and intimidating. The team took care of us and treated... More

Really excellent food. Imaginative, fresh and served by attentive staff in nice surroundings. MemSaab is, I think, as good as Quilon in London. Given that Quilon has a Michelin star to its name, I can't give much higher praise. The paneer was clearly home made and the Goan Vegetable curry was so tasty that my mouth is watering just thinking... More

Firstly the food here is faultless. Some of the best Indian food we've ever eaten. Our starters, mains and sides were beautifully cooked, well spiced, fresh and very enjoyable. Portions were smaller than most Indian restaurants we have been to, which for the price was slightly disappointing, but as they were so tasty it was okay. HOWEVER, on arrival they... More
