Enjoyed a business lunch here. Very pleasant atmosphere. The lunch menu could offer more variety but what we had was very nice - bagel, one with salmon, one with chicken. Worth a visit for a coffee and snack

Went today for my mums birthday. Lovely, airy, calming restaurant. Love all the soft furnishings, the blankets for your knees if you're cold. Took my mum for her 68th birthday, she's quite fussy and I wanted somewhere a bit nicer than a standard pub lunch. This was perfect. Our server, Grace, was very helpful and talked us through the menu,... More

I do not require gluten free food for dietary reasons, I was just tempted to pop in and try the cafe of this highly recommended eaterie. The restaurant is upstairs, immediately up to the right as you enter. The cosy cafe section is on the ground floor. There is not much space here, just 3 or 4 tables. Lovely and... More

After wandering around York for the Open Studios Exhibition, we finished a great day with a really lovely meal upstairs in this pretty restaurant. I was spoilt for choice with so many gluten free options to choose from. My favourite was the meat sharing platter starter including a delicious scotch egg. What a treat! The service was excellent, friendly and... More

Been celebrating my significant other's 30th this weekend and she fancied pancakes, so popped into F&U late Sunday morning. It was busy but Maise (hope that is spelled right!) was excellent in looking after us. Great food selection, especially for specific dietary requirements (s.o. is dairy intolerant), and the food itself was fantastic. Will visit again!

My boyfriend and I visited Filmore and Union for breakfast and were thoroughly impressed by the choice of healthy and original options on the menu. The gluten free granola is a MUST! The food is excellent, fresh and delicious and the staff are lovely. A special mention to Maise (spelling may not be correct!) for being so accomodating and friendly.

Happened upon this little place when in York for a visit recently. Didn't realise how fabulously healthy it is! We just had drinks- one of the fruit smoothies and some tea, plus a fabulous chocolate brownie, served with creme fraiche. It was really busy and people were being less than considerate about keeping the door open and my beau got... More

This menu is exceptional - just reading it makes your mouth water. And when the food arrives it looks amazingly colourful and tempting. The ingredients are all wholesome, healthy and it would be perfect for anyone with food intolerances. The juices are absolutely delicious....I had Zen and it was a gorgeous bright green and had ginger in it. The staff... More

Had breakfast here 2/3 days whilst in York, so rare to find a place the caters so much for people with food allergies. My 4yo suffers terribly and this place was a godsend, very tasty food, extremely friendly and helpful staff, can't fault this place at all.
