We’d read about this pub before visiting Whitby and were certainly not disappointed. All the staff were very friendly and welcomed our dogs, too with treats and bowls of water. Good choice of well-kept beer, gin & cider. Excellent Covid safety with temperature checks, table...service, masks and well-spaced tables. We brought fish n chips but they do serve light bar snacks. Highly recommend!More

Lovely Pub. On point with COVID rules and temp check + test and trace on entry. Constantly cleaning. Could come Across as Sticklers but keeping their customers safe. Don’t serve food only beer snacks but you can take your own food chip shop next door...and pub has all condiments. Dog friendly and treats and water bowls. No beer Garden. Friendly staff.More

Horrified by one of your last reviews. He couldn't be farther from the truth. We stayed in Whitby last weekend and we couldn't have been more welcomed. Yes they do have a red rope across the entrance, yes they take your temperature, yes you have...to check in on the app, it's what we and they have to do to ensure that everyone stays safe. I had a fabulous G& T, nothing is too much for them, genial host, well done. It was a pleasure to be with you and we'll be back.More

Arrived to be greeted by a lovely red rope , they let you in if you give your false address and name , plus have the gun pointed at your head in case you miss behave ( otherwise know as a temperature check ) illegal...if not done by a medical professional , if you’ve a medical exemption badge you are asked to cover your mouth with a menu ( which are then burned in front of your eyes lol ) the beer is sub par , we returned one due to the rancid smell , don’t ask what beer is available you will be told to look at the menu , it’s amazing that this time encourages little power mad people like this with no idea to what is actually happening , unfortunately and to be honest deservingly the endeavour won’t be around to much longerMore

We visited the endeavour as they advertised that they welcomed families and dogs and was able to bring in our own fish and chips! We couldn’t believe our luck as we were very thirsty and wanted somewhere proper to sit down and relax. We were...greeted by a lovely friendly lady who showed us to our table. Then by the landlord who showed us the water bowl for the dog, they gave us ketchup for my sons chips and gave us all proper forks to eat our food with. The service was very warm and very attentive, we couldn't believe how every problem on our list was solved and it was a very refreshing change as having a dog and a 2 year old not many places welcome both. Please check these guys out!!More
