We had to use the take away unit as the restaurant was closed. Not as expected as the fish was not what we were expecting considering the reputation it has. But the chips were good. Plenty others on the road to try

One of the hightlights of our trip to Whitby. The fish and chips were amazing. Worth the wait in the long queue. Be wary of the seagulls if you decide to eat outdoors. Joanne and Andy.

We chose the Magpie based on Trip Advisor reviews and were glad we did. Delicious cod, chips and mushy peas. There was a queue but a very polite lady came and took orders whilst we queued and it was ready as we arrived at the...More

Wow the queue didn't appear too bad, a lady gave us a menu as we arrived.....the wait for food gave you more than enough time to build up your appetite! We had takeaway and ate along the harbour edge. Batter on fish and sausage was...More
