Visited on a Friday night just after 8, it was our 10th anniversary, couldn't get a table and told no food after 8.30 anyway, wished we had gone to the Penny Hedge instead, surroundings may have changed but staff leave a lot to be desired...More
my wife & i visited here on sunday night for fish & chips after being recommended by a friend and was certainly not disappointed with quality of food and the settings , the staff were friendly and helpful will definitely be back

Very good for a drink or a meal .you can sit outside and get a lovely view .made to feel welcome .nice leather chairs to relax on .carver on a Sunday not had one yet ,but looks good and always busy .
We've been going to the shambles for years and used to love it but not any more. Last year it was freezing and the staff disinterested. Went again in January and nothing had changed. Staff will serve you when they've finished chatting with their mates...More
