The food was good. Not amazing but good. The service was good- in part because there werent many people in there even though it was 8pm on a Saturday night. The booth we were sat in had a HUGE rip in it. This is unacceptable for a fancy restaurant. With all the restaurants in London, I was bummed that I chose... More

I ate there last night with a group of people from Korea, The waitress really did not want to make any effort at all, the food was well below average, and the bill very high. Certainly would not recommend this restaurant although the layout was very nice.

Eyre Brothers has a great atmosphere with friendly waiters. It's a fantastic place both for casual drinks with friends, or for a lovely meal. The location is great, based close to Old Street. I would definitely recommend!

I love this place. I have been coming for many years and every time I am delighted by my meal but puzzled by the nearly empty restaurant. Eyre Bros does a mixture of Spanish and Portuguese cuisine and always hits the spot. Today I had fillet of hake in a crust (can't remember what exactly). The crust kept the hake... More

Loved everything about this smart, buzzy, Restaurant. We got lucky in that we hadn't booked but the friendly staff still managed to fit us in. We both had fish and it tasted so fresh and delicious. Also had a lovely bottle of Portuguese wine, on the waitresses recommendation which was perfect.

My boyfriend and I are big foodies and have been to Spain many times and have been to great Spanish restaurants in London. This was nowhere close! We came here for dinner last night and the staff were unfriendly and careless. They first brought me white wine instead of red which I wasn't bothered by but they were quite rude throughout... More

We walked past a few months back and noted the enticing menu and the restaurant's mix of crisp white tablecloths, soft lights and warm wood, and a hint of exotica. So after doing a spot of reading up on the eponymous Eyre Brothers we were here for dinner. We'd originally booked for 8pm but changed it to 7. No problem.... More

I hadn't been to this restaurant in a couple of years, but some friends (with whom I often visit restaurants) and I went this evening as we had fond memories of the food. The food this evening was good. Unfortunately, almost everything else went wrong, and save for one member of staff the attitude was appalling. Starters did not appear... More

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighbourhood Profile
Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
