My friend and I visited here as we needed something to eat before heading to the theatre. We didn't book but got a table downstairs then were asked to move as the one we were seated at was reserved for someone one. The staff was good and the food was alright. £5 for a lump of bread with garlic and... More

I was very pleased with both the meal and service from Pizza Express. Started with the house champagne which was very good ans shared a pizza before our theater show. It was very quick and the pizza was delicious! Good spot for a quick informal bite to eat.

Have visited this branch on several occasions. Food always good but service varies. Visited today (28 Dec) at 4:30 pm and we were seated within 10 mins which was good as they were busy. However after that we had to wait quite a while for the waiter to take our order and again there was a long wait between each... More

I had the unfortunate occasion to join bunch of colleagues before leaving for Xmas Hols. As I never been in Pizza Express in my entire life I thought would have been fair give it a try. In fact the worse mistake in my hospitality experienced was eating what i believe is the most terrible "cooked dough" (sorry i can't call... More

Haven't been to a Pizza Express for years. I remember why now. Overpriced, poor quality pizza (how can a place specialising in pizza produce such stuff?) and expensive. Hard to understand how places like this are so successful. On the plus side, rapid and pleasant service, food served quickly for pre theatre, wine fine. Won't return to any Pizza Express... More

Food was to be expected of a busy (not so cheap) eatery (I had thin crust pizza) but sympathy goes out to overworked and rushed waiting staff with too few on duty.

Went before the theatre and the place was busy which may have contributed to our poor food, came out late and cold and my pizza was more like a cracker ! Waitress very friendly so we just paid the excessive prices and left .. won't be going back for sure !

Waited 20 minutes to be seen. Booked a meal and a show. Was told we could only chose garlic bread and a margarita pizza and a coke. Manager would not even see us. We then walked out. Terrible place never again.

On our way to see Kinky Boots at The Adelphi Theatre, Pizza Express was definitely a good pit-stop before the show. Food is always good. Although very busy, we were seated quickly. There was a very good buzz feeling downstairs. The atmosphere was lively and chatty. Drinks orders were taken and served quickly by our very friendly waitress. I had... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
