I took my Mum for a meal at Andrew Edmunds. I had heard good things but I'd never found the occasion for it. It's inconspicuous and exclusive, like a little secret right in the middle of Soho. Inside, it was very cosy and intimate - it was perfect for catching up but also it would be ideal if you were... More

Nice little place, with great staff, but I was let down by the food. Crab didn't taste fresh and pigeon was bland. So much good food in the area that you really shouldn't be riding your reputation like this cooking-wise.

We loved it! Scrummy food ( crispiest batter on my hake ever) friendly staff, and an interesting wine list that didn't seem to cost the earth. We will definitely return.

Walked by it 3 times, but finally found it and worth the search. Handwritten menus ensure everything is fresh. Very small main floor, but really hearty well prepared food

The new visitor to Albert Edmunds may at first struggle to locate the restaurant as the number 4y6 and not the name are not located on the facade. While it enjoys a certain exclusivity, you can nonetheless be assured of a warm welcome at this restaurant if only a mere visitor such as myself. The pig's cheek salad and spatchcock... More

Andrew Edmunds was, up until my most recent visit a week ago, my favourite place in London to go for a celebratory meal. I have visited for anniversaries, birthday suppers and Valentine's Day dinners over five years, consistently being wowed by the standard of cooking, interesting menu and uniquely cosy ambience. So, when a venue needed booking to mark my... More

I was very disappointed, sadly. It's a lovely restaurant and the staff are super nice but it was valentine's night and the food, although nice, just wasn't special in any way. My girlfriend said it was lovely but also admitted she wouldn't go back so I'm sure she was just being polite. It cost over £150 which at that price... More

Been here twice and its absolutely fantastic! They change the menue frequently and its written in paper by hand. The set is cosy, small and narrow, with candles stuck in a winebottle, very romantic . The food is excellent and the winelist is good. Nice prices. Could not ask for more. Will definently return on my next trip to London.

We decided to visit Andrew Edmunds for a family treat after my daughter had visited several times previously, but to say we were dissatisfied is an understatement. We arrived promptly, having heard that guests were allocated a 2 hour time slot and were ignored by a very flamboyant member of staff who gave the impression he had better things to... More

Service was friendly .Food was overhyped and overpriced. Lighting was so poor that the food was somewhat disguised. My wife had duck which was minute and very undercooked. Worst aspect is that half of our party felt ill following the meal. I hope this was just an "off night".

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
