Visited for the tasting menu which was amazing to say the least but at the higher end of the price scale considering some courses being on the small side. You can't take away the skill involved in the cooking but the interior felt a touch sterile, from a good point of view no complaints at all.

Attended with as a party of 6, and it was excellent, very good wines and a great menu, due dietary requirements of some members of group i was not able to experience the menu as much as I really would have liked, so will definitely return.

A few changes since the first time we visited. Sad to see it closing at this location but looking forward to the next exciting step in this culinary journey. Food remains excellent and service good. Decor is a little restrained compared to our previous visit but still a very special place with many good memories

This is to a certain extent of historic value only as the restaurant has now closed, but assuming that Claude Bosi and his team continue pretty much in the same vein at Bibendum when they open there, it may be useful to write about a dinner we had at Hibiscus a couple of weeks ago, just before the closure. I... More

Had the set lunch, it was absolutely fine and the courses were enjoyable (especially dessert), just nothing outstanding. I get the feeling this is more of an evening restaurant. Nevertheless still good food and would recommend however don't expect a gastronomic extravaganza if selecting the set lunch!

We had a fantastic tasting menu with wine pairings, I enjoyed every mouthful. Some of the wine pairings were a surprise but they all worked great with the food. The only problem we had was at the end of the meal, my wife wanted a cup of tea and was told NO. No english breakfast or other normal plain black... More

I recently enjoyed the surprise menu and I was, well,..surprised. A couple of the courses we're less experimental than I had expected but still well-rounded dishes. Service was great, wine was superb. The food is pretty much perfect throughout. Some interesting courses, like the fois gras keep the night exciting and pairings we're absolutely on point all the way through.... More

When I first heard that Claude Bosi was to close Hibiscus I immediately made a reservation. I've been meaning to come here for many a year and with a finite amount of time remaining the urgency was renewed, and let me say, I am so very glad I did. We arrived a little early to our booking but we given... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
