After touring some sights in the morning and walking through St. James Park, we stumbled upon The Gallery at Fortnum & Mason. The menu had a number of interesting choices and we both settled for the Highland Scramble. It was absolutely delicious - scrambled eggs...More

Tend to eat here often. Nice open feel and well spaced tables. Had a double portion of dressed crab with fries and my friend had the fish and chips which is always good. The accompanying white wines were excellent. Nice friendly service.

We had the 3 course meal deal and it was excellent from start to finish: great service, food (delicious & decent portions), drink and atmosphere. Of course it is not the cheapest, but you are at one of the most famous stores in London and...More

The hostess said the chef had to redo our fish because he wasn't satisfied. After 45 minutes it came and had a bloody red section where it wasn't cleaned properly. The hostess reduced my 28 GBP bill by 4 pounds! But I pointed out that...More

What better way to celebrate Christmas Eve than with food, wine and friends, and the opportunity to watch grown men arguing over the last box of F&M mini mince pies? We had old school Welsh rarebit, and a perfect cheese soufflé with piccalilli together with...More

Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII,

Hi Everyone, My sister has booked for Sunday lunch in December. Included in the group will be two very elderly people, one of which although not in a wheelchair is very slow and laboured. Does anyone know if there is a lift to The Gallery or only stairs? And if there are stairs to the toilets, and how accessible they are generally. Thanks, Katherine L

Yes stairs and no lift to The Gallery. But why dont you rather book at one of F&Ms other restaurants which the lifts will serve? There are at least 2 others. The Gallery is bland, with wooden floors and wooden tables, so... More
