This "Kitchen" restaurant is one of the worst places we have ever visited in relation to customer service. Reviewers say "great view" etc but the point of the place is that it is a venue for FOOD! The Tate has utterly lost the plot and...More

We were kept in a queue for more than ten minutes though there were at least five tables set up and empty. We had already looked at the menu and decided what we would choose by the time we were seated. The table we were...More

The cafe is on 6th floor so has a good view over either the Switchroom (for the restaurant) or the Thames (for the bar). We had lunch in the restaurant - food was good but the service was poor. We waited more than 20 minutes...More

I have given this place a few goes now hoping I had just been there on off days but sadly it is not that good. I have eaten at the Tate Britain members room restaurant and it is excellent. However, firstly at the Tate Modern...More

On the top floor of Tate Modern. There is a nice bar, some low seating and lots of tables and chairs. We were seated quickly. We did not have the famous fish and chips, but the super salad and a special 'duck egg on hash'....More

Stopped for lunch with my daughter after visiting an exhibition. It was very busy although we were able to be seated very quickly. The views of the river and St Pauls Cathedral are great although we were seated in the middle of the restaurant so...More

Restaurant and bar at the Tate Modern. Only wanted a light lunch so we had the squash soup and the leek and potato hash. Both very tasty and satisfying, accompanied by a delicious Scottish Schiehallion beer. Staff very friendly and efficient

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some
time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved
browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest
