Having not been to a restaurant like this where they cook in front of you but it was a great experience- the staff were great and the food was exceptional- my only problem was is that it is expensive but well worth it

I have never been much of a fan of teppanaki food for the taste as it is inevitably bland and boring. Benihana is a legend in the teppanyaki cuisine and for what it is, it’s fine. This is a place for food theatre where people go with their kids / friends for a fun evening. Service – the service is... More

Quite a fun place, food ok, but no t very much of it, kids enjoyed it. Chef at table was pretty good with a knife, kids could have done with fork instead of chopsticks

I'm vegetarian so wasn't expecting too much (the rest of my family are meat eaters). However I have to say that the food was delicious. Such a fun place. It was a birthday celeb. We had a great time. Very theatrical.

This is a place with great food and surroundings. A group of 6 including two 6 year olds had a great meal the staff were very attentive and made a fuss of the children the chef Tom was fantastic and made the meal relaxed and enjoyable. Wasn't sure before going if it was the right place for children but it... More

This an entertainment as much as a restaurant. The food is excellent and well cooked (right in front of you) but it is a bit expensive when you sit and price up the raw materials! It is a damn good show though.

A great lunch time visit to Benihana on kings road. Food was delicious and cooked fresh . It was a little expensive for an impromptu lunch but well worth every penny. Must mention the pinacolada , mrs had 2 as they where so nice. Can't wait to go back

Christmas dinner with colleagues was booked elsewhere and our organiser only found out on the day that the restaurant had been flooded and electrics knocked out. She rang here and, surprisingly, they could accommodate 20. Staff were charming but we were "shooed" to our table before the whole party arrived. Found the overly theatrical teppanyaki thing rather intrusive when trying... More

3 people of our party down: 1 for 4 days. Although we all had a lot of fun whilst we were there, the food is $$$$, and food poisining is inexcusable. Management also questioning us and refusing to take responsibility directly. With so many other beautiful and fun places to eat at in London do you want to throw the... More

Description
Elegant Japanese styling and delicious fresh food await you at London's Benihana Restaurant.

Benihana is a favourite not only of tourists but of locals fresh from the nearby offices, relaxing with colleagues or indeed entertaining clients.

In keeping with the Benihana brand the chain began in New York way back in 1964, this means that this year, 2014 is our 50th anniversary.

This superb Japanese restaurant swaps the conventional kitchen for a central hibachi grill around which diners watch their food being prepared before their eyes.

Boasting a wide range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes traditionally cooked Benihana offers a unique Japanese dining experience not to be missed.

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
