I have been for lunch here several times and I believe the fish frequently falls below the high standard one would expect. I have in the past had very ordinary deep fried haddock, and a poorly cooked monkfish tail with truly horrid harissa paste, but today was the worst as the roast cod was awful. It had clearly been frozen... More

Came here for lunch with a party of five and it was excellent. I had as a starter duck egg, with chicken liver and black pudding and the flavours worked so well. I won't go through each dish, suffice to say everyone enjoyed each course of their lunch. Food, service and ambience were perfect. Will definitely come back again and... More

Lovely food and great service. Sitting at the bar is a great way to have an informal, but intimate meal, while taking in the whole surroundings.

Really delicious fish. Seafood tower was too big to eat but delicious. Also loved our main course. Lovely service. Space is pretty. Smells strongly of fish but great place.

I have reviewed this restaurant before with high praise. So was so disappointed with our last visit. The fish was over cooked, the waiter not particularly attentive, badly cooked (burnt) sides....awful experience, and we felt rushed. Definitely not worth the extravagant price. (Normally here it's worth it)... something is off ....we will not be back for a while , until the... More

I've been here a couple of times now. My SO has been here for business lunches and wanted to take me. Beautiful ambience, great service, and the food is terrific, it's known for fish. I think this place is a better value than most Michelin star places. Take a look at the art on the walls - they have a... More

Have been here a couple of times over the last few months and have thoroughly enjoyed it on each occasion. Have sat at both the bar and the tables for lunch and somehow I think I prefer the bar setting, perhaps as I enjoy Bentley's so much. A pretty impressive fish display is the centre piece of the bar. The... More

There are places on this earth that just know how to treat their guests! Scott's is just that place. I remain in awe at Scott's accomplishments: Scott's has remained relevant in an extremely competitive market, while still fresh, respectful and tasty! You have class - thank you for being Scott's

When alone in London on biz I hit bar dining restaurants. Scotts is one of them. In fact it's one of my favourite. The food is as always exceptional. Definitely recommended.

Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary seafood since 1851. A conveniently short walk from Green Park and Bond Street tube stations, this Mayfair mainstay uses burgundy leather banquettes and subdued lighting to create an air of old-school elegance which reflects the restaurant's chic clientele. Designed by Martin Brudnizki and highlighted by the exquisite bar topped with onyx and finished in stingray skin, the revamped interior of Scott's still carries the 1960's glamour of yesteryear. Traditional fish and seafood dishes dominate the menu, although seasonal meat and game make an appearance. Atlantic Halibut, Dover Sole and Lobster have proven to be popular choices, and there is also a Roasted Shellfish platter for two to share. The famous oyster bar with its three-metre crustacean display offers a more relaxed dining area and there is also an art deco-style private dining room, ideal for canapé receptions, press launches and private celebrations.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
