Visited Saturday night, first impressions staff were so miserable, no customer service, no smiles. Tables very close together practically sat on the couples knee next to us. The food was awful. My curry was cold I sent it back received another which was nearly burnt. No taste to curry at all. Rice was bland chips poor and naan bread was... More

Popped in here because we were on the hunt for food and passed here, the food was nice and the service was ok. I would say expensive but when you account for London prices its probably reasonable. Not sure if i'd head back on another trip i think i'd rather try another place, simply for variety rather than a fault... More

Went with some colleagues for dinner. The restaurant itself is clean, modern and very centrally located. However that is about it about the positives. The waiter was prompt but seemed to urge us into ordering starters and several side dishes which we ended up accepting, but not because we were particularly hungry rather than avoiding uneasy discussion with the waiter.... Had a great time and the food was lovely, especially the Lamb Dupiazza. have a nice time if you go. Watch for the service charge as i thought it was a bit steep however the meal was fresh and all 4 of us enjoyed the meal.

I'm a bit surprised to see the negative reviews here. We ate at Maharaja on Monday night and the food - which let's face it is the important thing - was great. The dal was authentically runny and had that delicious musky taste, the chicken and lamb mince was sensational, and the paneer tikka masala was terrific too. The service... More

Dined here last week with my son and the food was really tasty. I had the Chicken Jalfrezi which was nicely spiced with fresh chillis, my son had the Chicken Curry which he said was great too. Accompaniments were boiled rice and a side dish of vegetable curry as well as a delicious garlic naan bread. It was quiet, but... More

The staff were friendly and welcoming and the restaurant itself is quite nice. However, the chicken byriani that I ordered was, boring to be honest. Hardly spiced at all and the vegetable curry sauce was...well, boring too, luke warm and very watery. It is also expensive for what you get, but being located in the West End it's no more... More

Clean place. Good price. Good and lovely service. The waiters have short and clean nails, the glasses are very clean. The service is very quick. Chiken was and is the best lamb was a bit dull to my taste. Perfect naan the best ever. Good position and well priced. Try it you will not regret.

The waiters are not friendly at all, we asked for suggestions to wine and was told to look at the card ourselves . Our food came quick but was not warm and tasted of simply nothing. We told the waiters that the food was cold. They then took the plates and came back with the same plates, heated in a... More

I was seated and the waiter brought the menu which he slapped on the table, turned on his heel and left me to it. I ordered the Maharajah Special starter which consisted of a very dry Onion Bhaji and a rock hard kebab which failed to cut. The samosa although extremely 'crispy' was tasty. Moving on to the main, I... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
