Next too my sweethearts place, this was the best place I spent my time whilst being in London. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent! Being slightly hungover we found this place and the workers really took care of us. They almost felt like friends cause from the first second they greeted us. This is my first review... More

Prompt service, good sized portion of tasty food. Staff friendly though were a little reticent about serving a glass of tap water to my dinner partner who was not drinking as he was driving later in the evening. That aside would recommend particularly if looking for some where close to Charing Cross Station. The bill was on par with what... More

We had a lovely evening dining at Maharaja, the food and service were spot on. For our mains we had chicken korma and garlic chilli chicken , which had a unique and wonderful taste. Recommended this restaurant to anyone.

Went to watch the Kite runner for a birthday and were starving. Found this little gem near by. The food was really good and authentic. The service was really good, we asked for proper Indian food and that's what we received. Waiters were attentive we cannot fault

I didn't expect nothing more than a tourist trap which would rip you off. However, I was pleasantly surprised. We entered at 10.30pm with no one else in the restaurant. Ordered 2 biryani's. Service was actually decent and they even topped up my glass of tap water without even asking them. Waiter even had a little laugh with us aswell.... More

AVOID. The service in this restaurant was appalling. Rude and angry staff when they had mis sold the special to us and we questioned it. Angry and did not want to give us the meal for the price it should have been. One of the staff poured my beer and spilt it on the table and proceeded to take my... More

I dined alone at this restaurant and it was uncomfortable. The waiters were rude and monosyllabic in their responses. The food was ok but was tepid when it arrived at the table. Just after I finished my main course the bill, which I had not yet asked for, was slapped down on the table. You could only pay in cash... More

From the moment of our arrival we were made to feel welcome and enjoyed the full but unobtrusive attention of the Maharaja of India staff. Our server, Shaista, met the challenge of assisting us in ordering with kindness, grace and enthusiasm. After ascertaining our tastes, he made recommendations that provided us with one of the most memorable and enjoyable evenings... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
