We finally got here for my birthday lunch, dye in , September, despite, yet again, the best efforts of Thameslink to cock up our journey into London. The lunch set menu was not only a bargain but we actually felt we had a choice of foods we would love to eat rather than the horrible stuff so many restaurants offer eg... More

If you want a good authentic Italian meal, don't miss Sale e Pepe. We had a delicious lunch with a carpaccio of octopus, penne arrabbiata and sauteed liver and sorbet. The service was very good even though the place was packed. Will definitely go back.

Haven't been here for over 10 years and it hasn't changed a bit. Food absolutely delicious and the lovely staff make a fuss over children. Infectious atmosphere, with much laughter

Great Italian restaurant with attentive waiters, a varied menu that's traditional but with enough variety to keep interest, good wine list and a lively but friendly atmosphere. Only real downside is the tables are packed very close together. Some excellent fish choices well worth a try.

The food came very quickly which is more than can be said for the wine! We had had our starter and almost finished the main when it came! No one came and asked how our meal was and although quite nice -VERY overpriced but it was their loss we usually have liquers after but decided against £9 for a diserano-... More

We enter. The Maître d/ owner (?)/ father (?) greets us at the door with a comic welcome and handshake which makes me feel as tough I have known him for years. We are sat at a cosy round table for four. Prosecco to start (which is light and bubbly yet creamy and deep), and the waiter/ son (?) joins... More

A very high quality of food, well prepared, tasty and authentic, and overall a pleasant evening for a family outing but with one significant concern. While the service is charming it is a bit over dramatic with a lot of loud jollity, which can affect the level of attentiveness. A long time to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant... More

You're welcomed into a frenetic, cosy restaurant, with a lovely, warm atmosphere. Most if not all of the waiters that served us were brusk but proficient with that particular Italian charm. The food was very good, promptly served, and reasonably priced for the area. Overall, a rather enjoyable evening; would recommend.

Very nice and charming staff and good (whilst not superb) food. Good wine but nothing to "tell home about" - I would recommend as a good above average food experience in London
