The Ivy creates a little sparkle in everything it does, the food is well cooked, well presented and the service stands out amongst many of Londons top restaurants. Not cheap but worth every penny.

The food was quite good; the staff very efficient and nice and it has become so popular that they have created an upstairs bar (unmarked) where those with reservations can wait for their table to become free. Not sure how many theatre folks still go there. They may be priced out or crowded out.

I love eating at the Ivy and it never disappoints but this used to be the IN place in London for the glamour and glitterati. You won't leave feeling hungry or that you didn't have a good meal but are London restaurant prices out of control?

Rated it average but nearer Good, food was nice and presented well. Here are the issues that let the Ivy down, first our food was delivered in a timely manner, as we were looking for the chicken in the chicken salad the waiter came back to remove the dishes, wrong table. Then our food arrived and we found the chicken... More

As a special treat for my parents I visualised it being one of those things to remember and talk about but not for being what my mum and father called 'rubbish' to another couple we met at our hotel. We went prior to another engagement and expected to be out 2 hours later but the service was incredibly slow (may... More

I came here for a birthday dinner, and did not have to pay. I also know the restaurant's history, fame and reputation, so expectations were high. There is nothing bad about the Ivy, but you wonder why it is still a "hot ticket". The venue is pretty but a touch cramped. The service is excellent, friendly but efficient. The (slight)... More

We've visited The Ivy often (perhaps 10 x during visits to London from France) and have always liked the after theatre buzz, service and good honest food. But yesterday was simply appalling. The waiter had to be asked 3x for the wine we chose; my husbands fish and chips arrived cold and soggy (they did replace and didn't charge for... More

The restaurant was nicely furnished and the staff was wonderful. Myself and my partner and two friends went there for my 70th birthday for I thought would be an exceptional meal at night 14 th Nov Prawn bisck salty a menu with sausage and mash & belly , also beef in red wine . I could have got this at... More
