Our local pub when we are in LONDON. Great ambience. Very comfortable. Great English pub experience. Lately the menu has been in a constant state of flux. The prices have gone up and the food - although still good is hard to find ! Recently we had fried chicken. It arrived on a giant white dish with two tiny pieces... More

I do apologise for your bad experience with us the other day, our menu now changes daily to try and keep things fresh and offer our diners a new experience eacxh time. But with saying that, it doesn't excuse getting a small helping of one of our most popular dishes. I've cascaded your critique to the kitchen and I promise... More

Food is very good and good choice of wines . Buzzy and lively pub with good interiors. I thought the staff could have been better organised ,water never arrived ,pudding came to the table before we had ordered anything , a lot of staff with unclear instruction .

If you're in the Kings Road / Sloane Sq area then this is definitely your best bet if you're after a decent boozer. Nice staff, good atmosphere inside and a strong range of drinks means it has just about everything you could possibly want. It's also not ridiculously expensive. Have been before, will go again.

A great place that has a lot of locals (as seen by the multiple dogs). They have an extensive beer menu and their food menu is standard fish-n-chips and burgers pub fare. Most of the seating is shared (although that's just in the main room, I didn't check out the other rooms) with picnic table sized seating.

Thanks for the glowing review my friend, it's glowing so bright I'd quite like to have you back and check out our new menu, we've expanded quite a bit, I'd like to recommend the pork chop and giant black pudding if you're into your meats. Drop us an email and we'll get you booked right back in. More

I found this pub to be very typical with the interior design, choice of ales and the menu. Had a mixed platter of roast Schropshire chicken, Yorkshire pudding, gravy, chips and some more sides that I don' t remember anymore. Everything was tasty and nice, considering it was Sunday, the pub was full and we had baby with us, the... More

Thank you very much, we like to imagine our Sunday service is rather impeccable. So rather than finding us again, now that you know where we are book a table with us and we'll give the executive treatment all over again. More

During our week in London, my wife and I and two friends dropped into this pub for drinks. Service was friendly and it looked to have an interesting menu and wine list. My wife and I then went back for lunch. It was a good choice. My wife had a first rate smoked chicken salad and I had the sausages... More

What a bad service. First waited for a while and saw pub workers engaged in private conversation. Second - lady working there was surprised. About me telling her taht she was rude to me. This place has a nice location, but if you want a nice welcoming environ - do not go. Avoid it. Besides - overpriced drinks. Do not... More

Everything you expect from your local pub! Well worth taking that 5 min walk from High street Ken for a pint and tea. Food is great, outside flowers are lovely, away from the shoppers and the high street!

This is throw away from my previous work place, so it was a local. Food was ok, it was all about the feeling of being in pub and having a quick bite to eat. It has a great feel and is fun, especially if its a nice and sunny day.

The sun really helps to make a refreshing change to a pub doesn't it, especially if you happen to positioned in the right place getting the light from all of the angles. It also makes me happy and want to wear a hat. Please don't be afraid to pop in again to escape the high street, with a review like... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
