Relatively large venue , and a comfortable interior. The place is always busy it seems and the service is quite slow. Food and drink is good however. Fine if you have the time.

The Richoux is just a few mins walk from the piccadilly station. My partner and I went on a Saturday night and it was very busy so im glad I booked beforehand and I'd recommend doing the same. The food was nice, not cheap but not over the top expensive. Good quality and a nice selection of drinks too. The... More

Met friends here for lunch and it didn't disappoint. Both the main course and the dessert were absolutely delicious without being too heavy.

If you've just been shopping in Piccadilly or have emerged from a visit to the Royal Academy (across the road) and feel like a bite to eat, this is worth a try. This small coffee house chain has been established in London for over a century. They are often a good place to get tea & cakes or a light... More

A surprisingly pleasant lunch with some good service and some not so good but incredible value for money.

The food we ordered was nice and well portioned. However, we were given a 4 seater table for 5 people with no effort made to accommodate us. The service was slow and unpleasant.

We stopped in because the friends I was traveling with wanted to experience an afternoon tea. We found Richoux's on the internet and thought we would give it a try. There were some children with us and they were able to find items they liked on the menu. Richox offers a few pound discount on afternoon tea for a couple,... More

In a previous review, I noted that I nearly always visit one location of this small chain of cafes whenever I am in London, that the service varies (and is often not good), and that the fish pie is wonderful. Tonight, after trying several other places on a Wednesday night and finding 45 minute wait times, I brought my friend... More

Perhaps we hit this place on a bad night. The staff were all over the place with no co-ordination, no focus and apparently nobody in charge. Long waits; little courtesy. The food when it arrived (ravioli), sadly compressed and evidently not freshly cooked.. Not what you expect from (a not inexpensive) West End restaurant.

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
