We've been to the Adelaide street branch a few times, so decided to try the new (ish) Dean Street venture. We arrived 4 minutes after opening time on a Sunday and got the last 2 seats! People arriving after us were informed of a 1+ hour wait, and a few left disappointed. Food was faultless - prawn tortilla - nowhere... More

... of joy and excitement when you realize that you get the last two seats in the restaurant you really wanted to visit. And what a visit it was. You sit at the bar and watch the cooks while they shout orders and cook your meals. We enjoyed 6 different tapas dishes, and they all excited me. I will definitely... More

We had lunch in this very busy and popular place. Great armosphere and friendly staff. We had gamba - they were OK and then grilled bream. It was excellent. I was able to get the recepe for the grillsauce from our helpful server and I will try to replicate it at home. A fantastic taste.

After never being able to get a table due to long waits on 3 previous occasions, we finally managed to get a table after queuing up 15 minutes before the restaurant opened on a Sunday at lunchtime and eventually managed to get a table outside. The waiters were rude from the outset not the least bit welcoming, we were reminded... More

Whenever I am in London, I try to fit in at least ONE lunch at Barrafina. This time I tried the new Dean Street Barrafina and was very happy to see that they keep up the good vibe! I just love everything about this place, the cheerful staff, the super friendly Manager Nicolas, the delicious food, the fact that you... More

After my meeting at Dean Street i decided to have a quick lunch before heading back to the airport. There are many Restaurants on Dean Street but this time i opt for Barrafina. Good food, lunch time and a little bit too crowded for my liking but nonetheless worth another visit

Very good choice on the menu with some interesting specials. We opted for some tapas staples padron peppers, croquetas and charcuterie as well as some delicious quail and lamb chops then a couple of the specials: skate wing (divine) and caramelised Jerusalem artichokes. Washed down with sherry, cava and wine. Delicious. No need to hurry - 2 relaxing hours...

Description
Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
