I use this restaurant a lot and it has become my favourite restaurant in London. I took some friends from Scandinavia at the weekend and gave the place a really big build up. They didn't disappoint. The quality of the food on the evening was staggeringly good. Had my usual octopus, classic tortilla and Pluma which was unbelievable. Some great... More

We went by this place many times on our last visit in London. They do not take reservations so you should be there when they open either for lunch or dinner. Definitely worth it. Great atmosphere and really tasty wines.

We went to have a spanish dinner. There were three of us. We asked for so many plats like tortilla de patata, salmorejo, ensaladilla rusa, ceviche, conchas finas, croquetas de arroz negro (i cant remember if they were of that), gamba a la gabardina, huevos rotos and more. Everything were so tasty. I would recommend this restaurant to everybody!! 😍😍service... More

Recommended by my son to try this restaurant as he claimed it serves the best Tapas in town. Reached there early around 5pm & was lucky to get a seat instantly.Tried the grilled octopus & mackerel, both are super tasty .Of course the tortilla ( prawn omelette) is the best I have ever taken. The grilled chicken thighs which is... More

LOVED everything we tried...Cuajada, Arroz con leche, Roast milk fed lamb, Squid ink rice, and Crab bun. Just amazing. There is a very limited spaced and you sit in the bar around the kitchen. We had to wait over half an hour to get an actual table but we were able to order a few tapas dishes while we waited... More

Really cool vibe, typical of tapas bars found in Spain where you share a counter and eat your food. Place was packed and we had a short wait over drinks before being seated. The food is creative and very tasty. The place has a very nice wine list and Spanish beer on draft. I have travelled to Spain quite a... More

My wife and I went to the new Barrafina (Dean Street) yesterday for the first time, having been to the old restaurant many times. I have to say that the old restaurant was, in our opinion, as near as you could get to a typical Tapas bar in Madrid, Barcelona or Sevilla. However, whilst the new restaurant is almost identical... Tiny place, seats 20 at most. The dishes I had were excellent. The wait is very long, possible an hour or more.

Description
Barrafina is an authentic Spanish tapas bar located in London's Soho. It serves a traditional but contemporary, regional a la carte menu and there is a daily blackboard of specials, created by Executive Head Chef, Barragan Mohacho. Barrafina operates a first come first serve queuing system, and does not take reservations for their 23 stools. However, part of the fun of dining there is eating little bites and sipping on something delicious while making the line. The kitchen is open and guests are close to all the action and drama while their food is prepared.

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
