Great little venue for a tipple after work. Very small traditional old school pub and the bar staff are all lovely! Especially liked the juke box and most definitely spent my wages in there after a few drinks...everyone up and dancing! I can imagine summer...More

Been to this place so many times before and always had the rump, but today I decided to go with a slightly fattier cut ribeye. Well,,,,, I ask myself why have I been eating rump all this time while there was this juicy deliciousness of...More

The pub is on ground floor, we went upstairs for the restaurant. It's rather small, so service can be fast. Food is good (e.g. meat), but portions are small. The Cesar's salad was missing quite a few ingredients (egg? pepper? parmesan?) Few beers, wider selection...More

I work in EC3 and have lunched regularly at Missouri Angel for many years. Yes, the separate Vine St entrance, the crowded pub downstairs and the staircase to the first floor are uninviting - but the restaurant is smart, modern and bright - with windows...More

For our anniversary I like to take us to new restaurants. Lucy can be a little bit of a picky eater so we tend to go for steak or barbecue restaurants. This year I thought we could go to a steak restaurant we had never...More

I booked on a recommendation of a colleague, as I've recently started working in the area. Unfortunately, there was a hideous smell as we walked up the stairs - but I tried to ignore it for the sake of my guest. The windows were also...More

Arriving first as a guest for a business lunch, I was at first dismayed by the rather shabby ground floor bar on the City's Eastern fringes - progressing up the stairs with dread in case the dining room was as tired as the bar, I...More

Missouri Angel restaurant in London, near Tower Hill and Fenchurch Street, is the place to go for modern American cuisine on the east side of the City. Formerly the Angel pub, Missouri Angel is now an elegant restaurant on two floors redolent of prairie simplicity in its dcor of neutral walls, wooden floors, white-linened tables and an air of calm and enjoyment throughout. Missouri Angel is not only an American restaurant, its also a mighty fine steakhouse featuring grain-fed beef thats been aged from four to six weeks in Nebraska before being perfectly seared and landing on your plate. Other dishes include sweet corn chowder with pancetta and St Louis style ribs as well as fish and fowl dishes. The pinstriped clientele packs the place out at lunch for the fresh, seasonal ingredients, the sundrenched dining rooms and the friendly service. The wine list roams the globe in an open-minded way.
