Did not eat in the restaurant, being honest, didn't know there was one ! A couple of pints of Atlantic went down very nicely, very nicely and strangely we stayed for more than a couple plus a few shots. Plenty of floor space, high tables...More

This restaurant is above a pub in the heart of the City not far from The Tower of London etc. We wished we had stayed in the good old fashioned London boozer downstairs as the restaurant upstairs had no atmosphere and fairy average food.

I was taken as a guest for lunch just prior to Christmas. The food, service and ambience were all very good. I would not hesitate to take clients there in case I needed to lunch them in the City

Nice pub bar on the ground floor and restaurant on first floor. Nice ambience. quiet but efficient service and sensibly priced set menu for the City. Off the set menu, good range of steaks ( but City prices).

Don't know how we stumbled on to this gem, but we are very glad we did. Great service, fantastic meat cooked to our liking, passable wine list, and the bill at the end well within range. Very pleased!More

I always tend to eat the same thing at his restaurant, since there's a limited choice for vegetarians. But the risotto is always cooked beautifully, it seems a little odd location coming up the narrow stairs but it is nice in the restaurant when you...More

This restaurant sits at the top of some narrow stairs above the rather ordinary bar below. Once you arrive it is all clean linen and crystal; excellent service and food that is always of a very high standard and just unusual enough to be interesting...More

I know it is a restaurant or does fancy pub food but we have only used it as a good place near Tower Hill to come in a have a few pints while watching the 6 Nations. It's not an old characterful place but it...More

There was good service, along with lovely steak and wine. The cheesy mash is a must! Restaurant is in a convenient location. Would visit again.

From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to
its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile

“The City” is one of London's most historic and

Missouri Angel restaurant in London, near Tower Hill and Fenchurch Street, is the place to go for modern American cuisine on the east side of the City. Formerly the Angel pub, Missouri Angel is now an elegant restaurant on two floors redolent of prairie simplicity in its dcor of neutral walls, wooden floors, white-linened tables and an air of calm and enjoyment throughout. Missouri Angel is not only an American restaurant, its also a mighty fine steakhouse featuring grain-fed beef thats been aged from four to six weeks in Nebraska before being perfectly seared and landing on your plate. Other dishes include sweet corn chowder with pancetta and St Louis style ribs as well as fish and fowl dishes. The pinstriped clientele packs the place out at lunch for the fresh, seasonal ingredients, the sundrenched dining rooms and the friendly service. The wine list roams the globe in an open-minded way.
