This was our second visit to l'Atelier and we were coming back due to a first memorable dinner. We had the prebooked lunch menu with wine and coffee included. The quality is ok although very salty for my taste which spoilt both starter and main. We actually liked sitting at the bar watching the kitchen but I think it only... More

This place is expensive, but with it! The presentation is spectacular. The flavors are incredible. One of the top meals I've ever had. The lamb cutlet starter was so tender and the flavor was superior to any lamb I've ever had. Very romantic and a must do for a romantic London trip.

Do yourself a favor reserve a table at this excellent restaurant. Modern concept. The best seats are at the bar where you see the activity in the open kitchen. The food is sublime. The plates presentation are superb. The service is excellent and friendly. We had the pre-theatre diner. The only critic is that diner was better than the play... More

Used to be my favorite one in London ... But tonight ... was not what it used to be. Very slow service and the food was good but not amazing at all. Staff was really kind I must say. But for the first time it did not worth it.

Good food, good service which made us feel special. Having been lucky enough to experience 7 Michelin star restaurants we felt this was a one not two star but who knows what makes it a two:-) in our experience though the food was nice but not unique. The best course was the kiwi pre desert exquisite. We struggled with contrast... More

The place is amazing, the main recommendation is visit with time. It's an open kitchen restaurant, so you can see your dishes being worked by the amazing cooking staff. Dishes are beautiful to the eyes and delicious to palate. Do try their excellent wine selection, especially the very hard to find wines from the Alsace region. You'll not regret it.... More

We had Christmas lunch here . Opted for the multi course menu and was transported to food heaven . Each dish was unique ,the flavours sublime. Robuchon never fails to deliver whether it be the food or the service . I wanted to have a particular cocktail which I had on my last visit ,and they went all out to... More

L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon Myself and 10 colleagues visited this restaurant and were seated upstairs. Upon arrival we were greeted well and escorted to our seats. That's where the decent service ended. Our host approached our table once all 11 people had arrived and we were told that we had to have the 8-course tasting menu because of the size... More

One of our best culinary experiences! The food and the presentation were absolutely perfect. I wouldn't change anything. We were seating at the bar opposite the opened kitchen and looking at the cooks working in such harmony was quite impressive. The only negative point is the price of the drinks! £23 for a glass of white for example... if you're... More

Description
Drawing on Joel Robuchon's internationally renowned culinary expertise, already accredited with several Michelin Stars at restaurants throughout the world, L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon's philosophy is based on serving simple cuisine of the most exceptional quality. This London restaurant has been awarded Michelin Star, as well as 3 AA Rosettes, establishing it as one of the most exceptional places to dine in London. Robuchon's menu delights the palate with clean insightful flavours and refreshingly understated presentation. The dishes are predominantly French with Italian and Spanish influences. The dining experience at L'Atelier is an interactive one. On the ground floor, the eating counter surrounds the entire kitchen where the food is prepared. Robuchon sees the immediate benefit of this Japanese-inspired layout to chefs, as one can gauge the reaction of clients, and even converse with them whilst they watch their food being prepared. Unlike the sister restaurants in Paris and Tokyo, the London restaurant also has another 20 seats where diners can sit opposite each other. Meanwhile, La Cuisine on the first floor offers more traditional restaurant seating in a setting that could be likened to dining in the kitchen itself. Wherever you are seated you will enjoy the highest quality food in an informal, convivial environment. Valet parking is also available. Please note, last reservations are taken half an hour prior to closing time. Dress code: Smart Casual, shorts are not permitted.
