Mediocre food, poor service and very high prices. Really disappointing and God knows how this place has got a Michelin star !.

We never do a trip to London without a stop at L'Atelier. The discovery menu never disappoint and the chef was kind enough to change the main for us. However, do ask for the ground floor restaurant. We were seated upstairs this time and while the room is quieter, it's really missing the theatrics of their 'workshop' restaurant concept.

Went there for lunch with the family on a tuesday and booked the same morning. Just another table and is so it was not busy. Very good food. We had foie gras which was excellent, then quail stuffed with foie gras and serrano ham. For desserts had the chocolate one and the praline. Everything was very very good. Expensive but... More

Don't go on the week end, it will be too busy ! I went on a Tuesday evening, it wasn"t packed, not too busy, but not quiet either. Food was just a... wahou. Dodn"t really feel French, but taste was incredible. (Maybe a bit too salty, but interesting !) I could not take picture of the dishes, visual was so... More

Well, all I can say is that the Michelin reviewers need to be sacked. We attended on Saturday with great expectation after good reviews and a star. Shocking food and service. We were sat in a section off to the side of the main restaurant which felt like a kitchen extension and was far below par - these few tables... More

My wife and I visited L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon on a busy Saturday evening in November 2016. We had read some very positive reviews and knew that the restaurant holds a Michelin Star, and so were had high hopes for the night. Sadly we found the experience to fall far short of the standard we had hoped for, and can... More

Planned this restaurant weeks before. When arriving in time. They let us wait two hours. Then i complained to manager. Seems they had still 10 people waiting even longer. Manager and staff seems to be trained in ignoring guests. If i was not happy i could sent an email. Rude. Rude. In stead of making apologizes. They dont care about... More

We came for a set 3 course lunch and while the quality of food was outstanding, never had such smooth mashed potato, the style of service was a bit rushed. Having children, a meal as a couple is a rare treat we like to savour. We had previously ordered the menu and the bread arrived at the same time as... More

Description
Drawing on Joel Robuchon's internationally renowned culinary expertise, already accredited with several Michelin Stars at restaurants throughout the world, L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon's philosophy is based on serving simple cuisine of the most exceptional quality. This London restaurant has been awarded Michelin Star, as well as 3 AA Rosettes, establishing it as one of the most exceptional places to dine in London. Robuchon's menu delights the palate with clean insightful flavours and refreshingly understated presentation. The dishes are predominantly French with Italian and Spanish influences. The dining experience at L'Atelier is an interactive one. On the ground floor, the eating counter surrounds the entire kitchen where the food is prepared. Robuchon sees the immediate benefit of this Japanese-inspired layout to chefs, as one can gauge the reaction of clients, and even converse with them whilst they watch their food being prepared. Unlike the sister restaurants in Paris and Tokyo, the London restaurant also has another 20 seats where diners can sit opposite each other. Meanwhile, La Cuisine on the first floor offers more traditional restaurant seating in a setting that could be likened to dining in the kitchen itself. Wherever you are seated you will enjoy the highest quality food in an informal, convivial environment. Valet parking is also available. Please note, last reservations are taken half an hour prior to closing time. Dress code: Smart Casual, shorts are not permitted.
