The Wolseley is one of the first restaurants I would recommend to a friend visiting London. The space is beautiful, the location is central, the atmosphere is bustling and busy, and the food is delicious. For tourists, I would probably recommend lunch or dinner over...More

Large, busy and a little noisey but exceptionally well organized service and excellent food at prices that were quite reasonable compared to most of the other fine dining restaurants in the Pall Mall area. Would definitely recommend and would go again.

Had breakfast at The Wolseley this morning, the occasion to catch up with a really old and valued friend and colleague from the States. Smooth, warm and accomplished service from the moment you enter, all through the meal, and a smile as you leave. Felt...More

Am never disappointed with either lunch or dinner at the Wolseley: the food is consistently good, the service impeccable and friendly, the price point fairly accurate, and enjoyment assured. Generally, I always order the steal tartare followed by wiener Holstein, which has become a bit...More

Family of 4 had dinner there. We were seated in the tiny bar area because I believe we had teenagers and the restaurant atmosphere seems more for adults. Table there was a little tight but we stayed. We had for appys - scallops, oysters and...More

I love eating at the Wolsely! It's not a visit to London without having either lunch or dinner here. The menu is not vast but the food is always beautiful. The staff are all lovely and make an effort for you to enjoy your visit....More

Set beside some of London's best parks and home to
world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed
thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of
London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is
haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is
vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic
streets will reveal that Michelin stars and
chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even

Is staff accommodating in terms of allowing couples to split one order of afternoon tea? From other reviews I've read, it appears that the amount of food can be too much for one person, but just right for a couple.

I don't see why they wouldn't. Although if it's charged per person and they see both of you eating they'll x2 your bill I'd suspect, after all they are a business.

I agree smart casual is OK. There are some very smartly dressed people. I went for a late supper after the theatre. If you are lucky you might even spot the odd celebrity.
