I've been to the Raj since probably early 2001. Quality standard has been kept high and almost at the same price since then! Service is great!!! Don't forget to have a cobra with your meal! And ask for specialties, there are some secrets outside the...More

We had dinner here as it was near our hotel and we were looking for something other than pub grub. We were seated quickly by the restaurant manager and looked after by capable waiters. We really enjoyed our dishes and were happy with the guidence...More

late dinner. food fairly ordinary and staff looked ready to close. this place would not survive in say Leeds and Bradford where competition is hotter.

A very smart, clean and simply decorated restaurant, but with the added treat of waiting staff in a uniform red jacket. The dishes were full of flavour, well balanced spice wise and a good size. It is very popular, people were queuing in the street....More

Best Indian Food ever - of the many times I've been it's varied from great to fantastic. Noisy with the City hoorays but this is the only drawback. Staff are very sweet and attentive. Outstanding dishes are slow-cooked Lamb Rezalla , King Prawn Curry and...More

Small restaurant with lots of waiters manically dashing around despite it not even being that busy. A member of our party was hit in the back of the head with a tray of food - the waiter didn't even notice what he had done. I...More

I visited the restaurant for dinner with a large party and the food as always was excellent, and the service as good as always. This is my number one choice of Indian restaurant in London.

Description
"A new Indian restaurant near to the Walrus and the Carpenter bound to be popular with City boys and girls. An airy restuarant with lots of flowers, plants and Indian paintings and a distinct lack of flocked wallpaper. Charming, friendly waiters are happy to recommend authentic Indian dishes and steer you away from the prawn cocktail de nos jours, the chicken tikka masala - although that's available to unwavering fans. What's cooking? Traditional Indian dishes including all the classics as well as more unexpected items such as mugh-E-Tandoori, a whole poussin or lamb phal, an extra hot dish.
