The food here is fantastic and authentic. Sunday lunch offers traditional Indian Thali which is so good and really reasonably priced. Good wine selection and excellent service. Fantastic location and ambiance. I would highly recommend.

Been there before do decided to book a table for the lunch time. 14 of us went, children, grandchildren & great grand kids. Expectations were high. The decor & ambiance was good, the restaurant was not busy. However when the starters arrived, they were cold, not all of them arrived, had to ask for the rest. The mains were bland and tasteless ie.we... More

I've eaten in lots and lots of Indian restaurants over the years. This is a good one! Nice relaxed service with just about the right amount of attention - I don't like anything over fussy. Great portion sizes, food was flavoursome and served really quickly. I would definitely go back as this is an area of London I do visit... More

The family and I really enjoyed visiting this restaurant for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were presented with a la carte vegetarian dishes - and thoroughly enjoyed them. Not sure about the Lassi as it was like drinking diluted spoon stirred yogurt and milk. It should be mixed in a blender creating a good sizable froth on top!! Nice... More

We came in mid-week and ordered a selection of starters and mains. We were really impressed with the food and thought the quality and quantity was very good. The menu as a whole is more expensive than your usual Indian, but I feel it represents value for money.

Had lunch in Mala restaurant yesterday 15-3-17. What a setting, and a wonderful view of St. Katherine's dock. Could think of a better place to taste probably the best Indian food in London. That's coming from an Indian

The food is not bad, but the staff were not up to it for the nice setting and location of this restaurant. Polite on the surface, they were too hurried, annoyed because we couldn't remember the Indian name of the dishes we ordered (I was given my entree simply because it was the last one left in the waiter's hands... I love this restaurant and it's location within St Katherine's Dock. This is up market east end, yet the price is reasonable. We paid £63 for our meal of a vegetarian thali, popadoms, Punjabi salad, lamb curry, and two glasses of wine. The lamb is delicious and the vegetarian thali is very good. Will definitely come back again.

We visited on a Saturday evening, good atmosphere and things seemed positive, attentive waiters. However, the food was the most important test, and unfortunately it was the worst Indian food I have ever tasted... there was no flavour to any of the food... I asked for Chicken Tikka Rogan Josh, but was denied this as only Lamb Rogan Josh was... More
