Myself and some friends went for an evening meal when staying in London, and I was pleasantly surprised. I had a starter that consisted of muscles with white whine sauce, then a main meal of lobster drizzled with lemon, and a dessert of cheesecake. I was very pleased with it all, and would definitely go there again.

Food was quite good and service was attentive but not intrusive. There were three very good tasting menus as well as a la carte choices. It was a highlight of our trip.

We picked Wilton's to celebrate our anniversary. This restaurant will transport you back in time. The service was excellent and at these prices I would expect nothing less. The chilled melon soup with crabmeat was superb. They carry a fine selection of oysters. I had one of the best pieces of Dover sole that I have ever eaten. The wine... More

I visited Wilton's this evening. I'd just arrived in the UK from the states and wanted a nice first meal. I was wearing a black polo and they politely asked if I wouldn't mind if they loaned me a jacket as gentlemen are required to wear long sleeves. I accepted and was led to my seat at the oyster bar.... More

Yesterday, I had lunch with a friend in Wiltons It was the first time that I had been for many years. My husband and I used to go regularly, and the food and service were always exemplary. We were seated at a corner table that funny enough was one that my late husband and I used to sit at. First... More

Having returned again from our visit last year, it was a pleasure to enjoy this fine old English cuisine restaurant. Quite as restaurants used to be with professional staff looking after you in a home friendly but professional way is to be treasured. What ever you select will be superb, great oysters, salmon and other fish, meats and, game, its... More

We love old style restaurants and this is one of the oldest in London with timeless appeal. I read that during the Blitz in 1942 the restaurant owner, Bessie Leal was serving oysters to one of her regulars when a bomb exploded in Piccadilly shaking the restaurant to its foundation. Leal had enough. She turned to that customer, Olaf Harnbo... More

This is an extremely expensive restaurant but almost worth it, the presentation staff training personal service are next to perfection as one may remember from the past. I had a dressed crab and a grouse game is one of the things they are famous for. All was beautifuly served and excellent. The bill was extremely high but somehow worth it.... More

A good evening session for our group of 9. Good service overall but some of the waiters are a bit sniffy, extensive menu and excellent wine list. Compared with other quality places in the west end the prices are ok.

Wiltons combines a modern philosophy on service with all that is traditionally British to create the perfect dining experience. If you are making a reservation for groups of 6 or more, please contact Wiltons directly. Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
