I spotted this place when I attended a meeting nearby and had arranged to meet a friend afterwards at Waterloo station. The service was excellent and the food, especially the main was outstanding (Calves Liver on the specials board). Nearly empty when we went in, but filled up with the pre-theatre crowd. Didn't really notice as we were deep in... More

Have been here a couple of times for dinner before seeing a play at the Old Vic - which is right next door. Very reasonably priced menu and wine list. Good attentive service and well maintained premises. Recommend the farmhouse pate and the soup was delicious. I'll go again!

What a lovely little hidden gem, recommended by someone who's been a few times but some time ago we thought we'd give it a try for a pre theatre meal. It was busy but we were shown to our table quickly, service was smooth, wine and tap water arrived quickly. Dinner, we both choose the sausage and mash, took a... More

We have an annual get together with friends here, and the quality of the food and service is consistantly good. Its very easy to get to, as its just down the road from Waterloo station, and you can get a pre dinner drink at the Old Vic bar, which is almost next door. The menu isnt huge, but the food... More

Slightly hidden away down from the Old Vic, we went here for lunch before Christmas and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The menu was traditionally British, well-cooked and presented and the staff were friendly and personal and the service excellent. The meal was not rushed and we were allowed to linger for a reasonable time into the early evening, until... More

We have walked past the Waterloo Bar and Kitchen, five minutes walk from the station, many times and always promised ourselves we should give it a go. It looks so inviting with subtle lighting and crisp white tablecloths - and it's always reassuringly busy. So we took the plunge on a cold Monday night. First the good bits. Peroni Lager... More

Food is generally good but there is nothing that really stands out. Reasonable selection of wine list and can be quite pricy. Not rating this place highly but is worth a try if you happen to be around Waterloo.

Great place in a very convenient part of London just round the corner from Waterloo station. Very good food, cooked to a good standard. Very good service, staff were attentive and patient. Very busy all evening with a great ambiance and a good buzz.

Can't comment on evening service as have only been here for breakfast before (good) and Saturday lunch today. Lunch was excellent, we all had the special which was swordfish steak +avocado salsa and sweet potato fries with a rocket salad garnish. Couldn't fault anything, it was delicious. The service was polite and attentive and we lingered over really good desserts... More

Food and service were good but the wine was over priced. The decor was uninspiring and our seats were very draughty as it was a cold night and people kept going in and out of the function room downstairs and the toilets upstairs. We met friends here as it was so close to Waterloo station so it is convenient.
