I had the set lunch menu,Started with a summer goats cheese salad of mixed leaves with a tiny amount of goats cheese and dried fruits and cherry tomatoes OK but not amazing. The short rib of beef main contained a high percentage of fat about 40% BUT had a full flavour. This was served with mixed root vegetables. I didn't like... More

Had lunch with three colleagues last Friday - amazing. Had asparagus with a lightly poached egg as a starter - delicious. Shared the Aberdeeb Angus beef - amazing taste and quality. The service was brilliant and we had a wonderful bottle of wine.

We had not dined at The Grill at The Dorchester on any of our trips, until we did their Sunday Roast on Sunday, May 07. On a previous trip, we did have reservations for dinner, but had to cancel, as a board dinner was rescheduled. We made up to ourselves, and are glad that we did. First, The Dorchester is... More

We had an excellent Sunday Roast at the Grill. The service was absolutely first class and helped to make this a wonderful occasion; they even provided celebratory cakes and candles to mark our birthdays and a wedding anniversary. The food was delicious, particularly the roast beef which was tender and very tasty. Thank you to the Dorchester and your wonderful... More

Dinner for two in this large windowless room. Yes, food was very good but no more than would be expected at this price. Wine list extensive with prices to match, we had a bottle of SAINT-ÉMILION GRAND CRU - Les Cadrans de Lassègue, £75, a little disappointing. Overall I suspect the establishment relies on its name rather than the intrinsic... More

It's a shame that there was no booking record on the reservation list despite an advance reservation via booking site. Set menu was bland and very average. Only wine was saving grace.

Exquisite food, and excellent customer service. We had a wonderful time and the restaurant tables were spaced out adequately, the staff were not intrusive and the time between servings were perfect. Highly recommended

For a restaurant without windows even if it is very nicely decorated and for this price I demand top notch food. Especially grilled! Both Goodman and Hawksmoor make way better steaks, have much lower margin on wines, allow BYO wine and charge less for food. Cut across the street also makes much better grilled meat for similar price in a... More

We had a wonderful experience at the Grill for dinner recently. We had the prime rib for two which was very tender, tasty and cooked the way we wanted it. For dessert, we tried two different soufflés which were outstanding. The service was excellent and the atmosphere very conducive to quiet conversation. The Restaurant Manager, Sonia, was very friendly and... More

Description
Our iconic Mayfair restaurant has been transformed for a new culinary chapter. First established in 1931, The Grill at The Dorchester quickly gained a reputation as the place to be for the finest grill food in London. In keeping with this original concept, Alain Ducasse's protege Christophe Marleix has created new seasonal menus.

Delicious dishes range from grill favourites alongside the restaurant's signature blue lobster chowder and an extensive sweet souffle menu - the first of its kind in London.

Lively and welcoming, the re-imagined restaurant fuses The Dorchester's iconic elegance with a contemporary tone and creative details. Interior architect Bruno Moinard was commissioned by The Dorchester to create a vibrant and timeless setting.

For an exclusive event in an iconic yet timeless setting, the restaurant can accommodate groups and private events for up to 30 guests or reserved for exclusive use - please contact us for more information.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
