This was an after the theatre meal. Our waitress was rather bored and service left a lot to be desired, she only smiled when it was bill time. The food is delicious but Minimal.. We ordered sea bass which was a tiny fillet. We ordered spinach and mash pots for 2 people but was insufficient for one person ! I... More

Came here after looking for online suggestion - and wasn't disappointed. Warm welcome, great atmosphere, authentic menu and food, tasty and at reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

This is not a place we would have walked into from the street. First, it's downstairs from street level and it's very unassuming from the outside. But thanks to a recommendation from our concierge we had a lovely meal at this restaurant with good service. I had the mushroom risotto which was a huge portion and simply delicious. My husband... We always make it a point to come to Orso's every time we visit London. The Italian food is absolutely delicious. We order burrata cheese to begin and the main courses are fantastic too, such as the pizzas, different types of spaghetti, and rigatoni. The atmosphere is also super relaxing with the most wonderful low lighting. I definitely must recommend... More

Lovely dinner for two - my bresaola starter and fegato (liver) main were both delicious, and my friend enjoyed his calamari and chilli beef. Would have given an "Excellent" rating were it not for the trainee waiter who made some of the service rather awkward.

Dined here post theatre/ pre theatre on Weds 19 April. Fantastic service and delicious food! This is a west end institution which never fails to delight! Many thanks to the excellent restaurant manager,Alain. Always accommodating, friendly and more importantly totally in tune with an appreciative clientele. Thank you for a wonderful relaxed evening.

For years and years I have wanted to go to Orso. I went last week and what I learned was: you should go round the corner to Balthazar or Joe Allen's instead. The service was excellent, friendly, prompt, well-informed, not at all intrusive. We had a lovely bottle of Montepulliciano (which was probably spelled correctly, as opposed to my effort)... More

Venue was fabulous. Food was excellent. Service was great to begin with but as restaurant emptied the staff were less attentive. Staff in aprons could only clear tables and serve whereas the official waiting staff could take orders. System didn't work very well and we waited a long time for drinks. We would definitely go again as whole experience was... More

Description
The finest Italian cuisine comes to Covent Garden. Opened in October 1985, Orso is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of London's West End. From the beginning, the aim was to bring authentic Italian cuisine to Covent Garden and Orso delivers. Orso takes pride in using only the freshest and finest ingredients such as extra virgin olive oil, arugula, puntarelle, porcini mushrooms, buffalo mozzarella and white truffles, when in season and sourced in Italy. But it is not just about the ingredients; each meal is prepared to perfection, served on hand-painted Italian tableware designed by Designers Guild, and accompanied by a selection of fine Italian wines. Orso is the perfect destination for the London diner, offering bustling but attentive service, a lively atmosphere and a tempting menu.
