Great location, tasty food (even my vegetarian dishes were yummy!), attentive (not smothering) service. Had a lovely evening here in July. A bit pricey for me, but worth every penny. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we arrived, but by the time we left, was...More

We had our first Moro experience at Wilderness in 2014 with a pop up banquet which was very good, the restaurant was even better with a really great, interesting menu. Very good friendly enthusiastic service and a good buzz all evening. Book and enjoy would...More

Four of us ate here. Two of us had the lamb (divine), one the chicken and one the fish. The friend who had the fish felt it was over salted, the chicken was deemed delicious. The service was efficient, the atmosphere bustling. Despite my yummy...More

Great service from the start - we arrived early but were seated immediately. Good to be able to see the wood burning oven - delicious smells to tempt the senses. We had a three course lunch for four which was the best we have had...More

Refreshingly original Spanish/North African restaurant. The food bursts with flavour and texture. The waitresses are so helpful and knowledgable. Such a happy place; I had no heart to remind the Australian waitress of the Ashes result! My mate says this is his favourite London restaurant...More

Lovely dinner last night with my sister. We arrived slightly early but were still seated straight away. We ordered two blueberry cavas and tucked into the crusty sourdough bread and fruity olive oil while perusing the dinner menu (which changes daily). Service was relaxed friendly...More

Very buzzy, laid back and pared down restaurant. The menu is a decent size and changes daily. Great wine recommendation from our waiter followed by fabulous calves liver starter with sumac. Wow, such punchy flavours and great combination. Veg mezze as a main was good...More

Moro restaurant is so good, we stopped there twice in one day after we discovered it purely by accident. We were very lucky todo so. We especially enjoyed the cardamom ice cream-exquisite. The main course was delicious and creative. Portions are very large, restaurant is...More

Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky

It might be one of the hippest venues in one of the hippest parts of the capital but this Clerkenwell restaurant still manages to be relaxed and more concerned with good food than being trendy. The restaurant’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar and open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven is functional but welcoming. The Moorish cuisine complete with subtle European influence is every bit as striking as it was when the restaurant opened its doors nearly ten years ago. Tapas served all day at the bar.
