Beautifully cooked and presented meals in a laid back atmosphere. The menu changes so its difficult to make recommendations. BUT, the "fried rabbit" starter was incredibly succulent, as was the venison. Atlantic seabass was a delight, and the wood roasted chicken and the pork and...More

My Spanish girlfriend and I visit a lot of Spanish restaurants, stuck as we are in London yet craving the motherland. Though most Spanish options are basic, wholesome tapas-like fayre Moro is clearly one of the growing crop of places showcasing the very best of...More

We had an early meal here and needed to be out within and hour and a quarter to go to Sadlers Wells nearby. I had been here 10 years ago and had eaten their food at Wilderness festival so knew what to expect. I had...More

Went for a lunch treat on Saturday with a good friend. The food was excellent from starter to end. The meat was cooked to perfection and the flavours were stunning. The dessert was heavenly!! Would highly recommend. Service was a little detached but not awful....More

We were staying near Exmouth Market and Moro came highly recommended as a place to visit – which we did for lunch. We were very happy with our experience; food, wine/beer and service were all good and we enjoyed it in a table located near...More

I like Moro, well I did. But it's not trying so hard now. You get the feeling that success has gone to its head. Our booking (online) wasn't known and we were shown to a small table in a curtained off area. The staff seemed...More

Our friend in London took us to her favourite local, and it's a beauty! Unfortunately we'd been eating all day so skipped the entrees (the sardines on toast and wild mushrooms on toast are apparently highly recommended, however), but our mains (lamb, pork belly) were...More

Great food here at Moro. We were a little rushed as our table was for 6 but we had tickets for a show at 7:30. They were very accommodating allowing for us to choose from the tapas menu. It was delicious. The wine was great...More

There's nothing here I dislike. Conversely there is no "Wow" or "Lovely!" or "We must come again" factor. Service was OK, certainly not bad. Food was pretty yummy, wine was good. I just didn't feel partocularly welcomed or valued, attended to or advised by the...More

Nearby
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky

Description
It might be one of the hippest venues in one of the hippest parts of the capital but this Clerkenwell restaurant still manages to be relaxed and more concerned with good food than being trendy. The restaurant’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar and open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven is functional but welcoming. The Moorish cuisine complete with subtle European influence is every bit as striking as it was when the restaurant opened its doors nearly ten years ago. Tapas served all day at the bar. Reservations taken by phone and directly from our website.PLEASE NOTE - Moro restaurant is now open seven days a week. Please refer to our website for correct opening hours
