Booked an outside table for four of us.What an exciting street it is. Live music; street theatre and great for people watching. Very European and top fun. The food was very different. The lamb and chicken wood stove cooked meals were delicious and the pork...More

I hadn't been here for a long time and it was certainly as good as I remembered. Service was great, the guy actually went and looked for the recipe for me as my starter was so delicious I asked for it! Our dinner was exquisite...More

We visited Moro for lunch with family last Sunday to celebrate my Dad's birthday. Having visited once before a couple of years ago with good memories and having raved about it to friends and family we all had high hopes and certainly weren't disappointed! Starters...More

Arrived after last minute booking with friends. The place was filled with architect and designer media types clearly very comfortable in themselves robed in yards of muted linen and cotton. No fake tan or bling on show here. Mainly a late middle aged crowd greying...More

Exmouth Market is local for us. A street market that hasn't yet been totally gentrified, so a nice place to eat, with no vehicles for competition. We had our dog, so popped in to ask for a table outside in an hour to give us...More

The restaurant was packed and noisy which was okay but the waitress was so rude and unhelpful that the evening could have been spoiled. We wanted a bit of help navigating the wine list and her response was to suggest we tried some of the...More

My partner took me here for my birthday and I wasn't disappointed! We started with lambs liver, which was light and tasty. I followed with stuffed squid and again it was tasty but a little over seasoned for my liking. My partner had the lamb...More

I had the best meal that I've eaten in London for a long time. Great Spanish cooking, excellent wine and great company. Moro bang on form! If you've never been, you've never lived!

Been wanting to go to for years. Very buzzy atmosphere. Great service. Began with crab in deep fried puff pastry with harissa. Sounds weird but was Light and not greasy. Harissa was great compliment. Hubby had calves liver with flatbread and yoghurt, on a bed...More

Benn wanting to come here for years, after owning the cook books for a long time. We weren't disappointed - beautiful restaurant, recognisable faces in the kitchen, great service and amazing food / drinks. We ate the wood roasted chicken, and the grilled lamb, each...More

Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky

It might be one of the hippest venues in one of the hippest parts of the capital but this Clerkenwell restaurant still manages to be relaxed and more concerned with good food than being trendy. The restaurant’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar and open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven is functional but welcoming. The Moorish cuisine complete with subtle European influence is every bit as striking as it was when the restaurant opened its doors nearly ten years ago. Tapas served all day at the bar.
