Met some old friends here - on their recommendation. There is a great buzz about the place and it is plainly very popular. Food is Spanish tapas style - often accompanied by sherry. Staff were massively efficient and friendly and absolutely everything was to our...More

Came here for lunch with colleagues, and we sat outside in the sun which was lovely, supping on a couple of beers and a lamb dish, I found the lamb to be quite fatty and the flavour was a bit too much for me. However,...More

20 years on and dark crusted loaves of sourdough are still baked on site and served with rich, peppery olive oil. Yogurt is hung inside a clean chef's apron in the fridge overnight to produce the delicious labneh (the whey that drips off is used...More

I went here yesterday with an friend I used to work with. We had not been for a couple of years, partly because it's quite expensive. We decided to forgo starters in favour of dessert because we knew their portions are very generous. Bread was...More

I have mixed views about Moro. For most of my friends it is one of the best restaurants in London. The bread is divine and the food is tasty. I have always had good service, the drinks are good and the atmosphere is relaxed. But...More

This review is not about the food, but about the attitude of the management. The haughty attitude of the reservations manager is quite frankly appalling. I asked to reserve two tables of eight people. There was room in the restaurant, but was told by the...More

If you ordered starters at this place, you are screwed! I'm not sure if it was just one off incident but it took forever to get our main course. It was half an hour wait from our starters. The staff explained that there were 2...More

Birthday dinner last week. Amazing drinks and food. The lamb was special. Just tricky to get a reservation. Worth it though

I should probably start by saying that I had very high expectations of this place! The restaurant itself is lovely and had a nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I had a starter of Mojamo and Romero peppers. They were quite stingy on...More

Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky

Description
It might be one of the hippest venues in one of the hippest parts of the capital but this Clerkenwell restaurant still manages to be relaxed and more concerned with good food than being trendy. The restaurant’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar and open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven is functional but welcoming. The Moorish cuisine complete with subtle European influence is every bit as striking as it was when the restaurant opened its doors nearly ten years ago. Tapas served all day at the bar. Reservations taken by phone and directly from our website.PLEASE NOTE - Moro restaurant is now open seven days a week. Please refer to our website for correct opening hours
