I walk past the place where this restaurant used to operate every day. It has been closed for months and months - probably since early in 2016. Any recent reviews are pure fiction !

If one is after good authentic Burmese food, I would recommend Mandalay restaurant. The food is excellent, and likewise the service. My only criticism is that the portions are small.

Recently returned from a two week motorcycle adventure tour through Myanmar and really fancied trying this restaurant so was very disappointed to find it all closed up. It looks like the refurbishment mentioned in an earlier post is taking more than a few weeks. Who knows if it will ever reopen :-/

This is to inform that we are no longer at 444 Edgware road and are in the process of reopening in another location. The relocation has taken longer time then we had anticipated. We will inform all our valued guest as soon as we are ready to start again. More

The place is a dump, it probably hasn't been updated sine 1970. Outside toilets are dark, dirty and totally unacceptable. The food is ok but very small portions and not cheap either. It's a real shame, if only the owners cared a little more they could have had a gold mine. Do yourself a favour and take your custom elsewhere.

Hello, I do not think you have been to the restaurant. The restaurant has a very modern look and the toilets are very well lit. We have been in business for the last twenty two years and is one of the most popular and successful little restaurant. I wonder why people want to teach others how to run their business. More

I was quite excited to try the only Burmese restaurant on London, and have made a reservation in advance. But when I turned up (7 pm, Saturday 19 November), the place was closed. Nobody answered when I tried calling. Not cool.

We have been closed for a few weeks for relocation and has informed the online reservation website Quandoo. Unfortunately they did not inform you or cancelled your reservation. We are sorry for your inconvenience which we had no knowledge of. More

We invariably come here. After watching the cricket at Lords, twenty minutes walk away, we stop by for dinner on the way to Paddington, for the trip back to the West Country. It is important to book ahead if you want to be sure of a table. This place is very popular and fills up quickly for good reason. Read... More

Don't be put off by the rather depressing area or basic decor, this is a really nice place to eat. Warm, friendly staff and an interesting and varied menu offering well-cooked and delicious Burmese food. Really good value too. Have been a couple of times and both were excellent - highly recommend!

I was there with a few friends. First time having Burmese ... we got some good guidance on menu favourites and feeling in the mood for something spicy they helped choose some mains - lamb curries and chicken. Food arrived in good time - but I was disappointed with portion sizes. Very small if you ask me. Tasty and spicy... More

I spent some time travelling in Myanmar recently and really craved some Burmese food, so when the opportunity arose to visit this restaurant, I jumped at the chance. It being a Tuesday the place was not crowded, even though it is very small and reserving a table seems like a good idea. I loved the tea leaf salad, the calabash... More
