My boyfriend recently moved into the local area so we thought we would treat ourselves to a mid-week date night at this restaurant. The decor and atmosphere were nice, but unfortunately that is where the positive experience ends for my boyfriend and me. We both started with a watery not much flavour to it chowder. I ordered the pork belly... More

This is our second meal at the Light House and it didn't disappoint in the least. We ate from the fixed price menu, which seemed to offer only a little less choice than the a la carte, and is a good deal for either two or three courses. On our first visit I wasn't watching my weight so I can... More

This was our first visit to the Lighthouse and we were very impressed with the atmosphere, service and the quality of the food.

I visited the Lighthouse after looking at reviews online and I was not disappointed. Small but cosy restaurant. The first thing you notice is the friendly staff. The next thing was the lighting it was beautiful in the evening with candles on the tables and lights would occasionally dim to give the place a warm feel. The service was wonderful... More

Restaurant is spacious and warm. Food was good, wholesome and well prepared and the service staff knowledgable and friendly. Clientele on the older side, so a place to visit with family rather than a hip vibey kind of place to spend the evening with friends or on a date.

Good selection with contemporary modern menu. There is no choice of vegetables, but you don't get charged for them as "add ons." Balanced three course meal, good wine list and a reasonable price. Service is attentive but unhurried. Clientele includes the occasional celebrity. Parking can sometimes be a problem in the area.

The restaurant is on the ridgeway seperate from the main village, on opening the door it is a larger space than envisaged modern appearance with a friendly welcome. The tables are not massive but comfortable enough. I have to say the food was very good with generous portions, the wine was also quality. The restaurant soon filled up so advisable... More

Visited today, 25th September, and received great service and fantastic food. Sunday set menu included seared tuna (pictured) and lamb rump with blueberry tart desert. All expertly presented and cooked. Service was quick and friendly, I was cold so asked for air con turned down which it was immediately. Very highly recommend - delicious and filling meals.

Went for dinner with friends last night (Saturday) to celebrate a birthday. We hadn't been for around 20 years when it was good but nothing special so we didn't bother going back. Now it's good and special so we will definitely go back. Absolutely packed but not surprised. Service was stupendous with very attentive waiter. Mushroom soup with truffle oil... More
