We came to the laughing gravy whilst on a city break last year May. We visited just before a show. The food and service were outstanding. we had the venison wellington, crayfish scotch egg and banana flap jack for dessert. Outstanding :)

We booked the Laughing Gravy based on the Trip Advisor results and again we were not disappointed. The restaurant was nicely set out, the staff were extremely helpful, the food was very good and all made to ensure an excellent evening was enjoyed by all as it was to celebrate a 60th birthday. Thankyou to everyone who was working on... More

me and my two girlfriends who meet up often in London decided to meet at the laughing gravy. 154 Blackfriars road, London. It was lovely - attentive staff, fantastic food (my friends had the massive sunday beef roast (Yorkshire puds as big as the plate) and the beef was done to perfection. I had a fabulous chicken salad. A very... More

Was looking for a quick dinner place while in London on business. Place was popular, menu had quite some game Ob the menu. The meal i orders was veel good quality and the right size for me. Had a glass of wine. Think price was very reasonable. Good service, friendly.

The place itself is lovely - bright and airy with a nice buzz of people. The food was all exceptional - except for the beef (sunday roast). The flavours were nice enough but the meat itself was chewy which was a bit of a let down especially after fabulous starters (and the other main offerings).

Dined hear with a small group, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I chose the venison fillet and wild mushroom wellington which was really nice and for dessert, salted caramel fudge and shortbread filled chocolate cylinder. Smallish portions and slightly expensive but lovely experience. We stayed for hours, at no point did we feel rushed. Would return, although location... More

We made a reservation on a Tuesday for dinner that night, and luckily we got a good time. I'm not sure about the weekends though, but I would certainly book ahead. My fiancé and I arrived and the first thing I mentioned was how much I loved the atmosphere. People were sitting and drinking, and also some were dinning. It... More

I booked this restaurant sight unseen as the venue to host for my partner's surprise 50th birthday lunch for a large group of family and friends. I chose the restaurant primarily due to it's close proximity to our home and to Waterloo railway and underground stations. The lead up to the event was stressful at times, primarily due to the... I chose Laughing Gravy for a birthday lunch based on the strength of the reviews on here. Although an odd location for a restaurant such as this it did not disappoint. I had the beetroot starter which was actually a little bland (but hey it is beetroot) and the guinea fowl main which was absolutely excellent. The service was friendly... More
