I visited the laughing gravy for my boyfriends belated birthday meal and it did not disappoint. Food was high quality and beautifully presented. I had the smoked trout to start, the sole for the main and the chocolate delice for dessert. So delicious! The only negative thing to say was that the fish was cooked in a lot of butter... More

From the welcome from Franci and Joey, right the way through the service and the amazing food - this is a real gem. It's my favourite place to eat in London. And the best Sunday lunch I've had in years (sorry Mum). I can't recommend this place enough. They've got customer service absolutely nailed. I'm made to feel so welcome... More

We hadn't been here for a while and had forgotten how good it was. It has a nice atmosphere - though a bit loud when full - and a varied menu, including some comfort dishes. The wine list is good too, though a tad expensive. Stand out dishes when we dined included the beetroot starter and rabbit pappardelle. Service was... More

We enjoyed a three course meal here as part of a family celebration. The menu offers a lot of choice and my seafood based scotch egg starter packed in flavour. My son enjoyed a lamb dumpling starter served in a clear broth. Others amongst us had vegetarian starters which are imaginative and tasty. My lamb main was well-flavoured but I... More

The food here is absolutely wonderful. I've been before and brought friends this time and none of us were disappointed. I know a few of us were tempted to lick our plates! The atmosphere and service were also excellent. It's well worth a short walk away from the Southbank to get such quality food and a more relaxed atmosphere.

My wife went for a meal at The Laughing Gravy in Southwark over the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and I'm delighted to report that not only was the food delicious and at least on a par with many of London's more expensive restaurants, but the waiting staff we're friendly and courteous, ensuring that our special evening was memorable for... After a few great dinners with friends here, I finally took to opportunity to sample The Laughing Gravy's Sunday roast and took my Mum before her train home after visiting for a few days. It has to be said that this place never disappoints. Friendly , relaxed but attentive service, amazing wine list and once again the food was delicious.... More

Really disappointed with quality, quantity and price of dishes we had on Friday night 10th March 2017. My wife had the Meade lamb - very chewy and few vegetables I had the Beef brisket - dry and flaky and small portion. Also few vegetables. Good job that we ordered a side dish of greens. Restaurant itself was was basic but... More

Thank you for taking the time to review The Laughing Gravy. I'm really sorry that you felt let down by the food after we have had so many positive reviews. I wanted to respond personally to say that we take all feedback very seriously and our head chef is looking into these dishes straight away to make sure they are... More
