Read the reviews before deciding to book! Really pleased we booked as they were forming a queue from 5:20pm outside the lovely quaint restaurant. The service was fantastic the food was delicious and the Waiters made a fuss over my Mum and Daughter who were both celebrating their birthdays! It was five minutes walk away from Matilda which was the... More

We visited Da Mario again. When we arrived about 10 minutes early we were asked to wait outside. They are very particular here and don't smile a lot. (We didn't take it personally: the FC Arsenal who were there that night received the same no nonsense treatment). We all enjoyed the food - the stake and the scaloppini masala were... More

This must be at least my tenth visit. Great Italian restaurant serving great Italian food. Tucked away in a small side road but what a find. You are always warmly welcomed and by the same people. Friendly and attentive. The food is amazing. Strongly recommend. Well worth a visit. If you love Italian food this is the place to go.

We always eat at Da Mario's when we visit London for a theatre visit. Will be there again soon. Its only small so book if you want to get a table as its always full. The staff are attentive but not obtrusive. Always happy to tell you anything you want to know about a particular meal. There is a Good... More

An authentic, family run Italian restaurant. Good food & service. A little gem in the heart of London.

We've been here 3 times, and have always been warmly received, almost as friends, even when booking very last minute a space was made for us. One of the few places in London where you still have to book over the phone and you are still welcomed by the same faces every time, truly unmatched in authenticity. The Tagliolini con... More

A truly authentic Italian family restaurant with extremely friendly and attentive service. Menu was not too large but the choice were excellent, as were the choices of wine! Quite atmosphere and not too crowded so comfortable to have a nice conversation. I would recommend strongly if one is looking for authentic Italian cuisine

Lovely little restaurant with great food and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend. We were the only ones in the restaurant at 10:30 on a Monday night but the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Really great authentic Italian food and nice staff. I do like a restaurant with white linen but this is not pretentious and really reasonable for the standard. In London for a couple of days to go to theatre so was looking for a restaurant near The Shaftesbury - wow so glad we chose this restaurant. We got there just before... More
