Poor service, overpriced food and definitely overpriced drinks £2 for half a blackcurrant and soda. Dick Turpin was hung, so should the landlord be for those prices. Soup was nice, could have done with bread though.

Stumbled upon this great pub in the way to our hotel. We went back a few times over our weekend stay. Had food one evening and it was good grub! Saying that as a vegetarian too! Would definitely go back if I was in the area! :)

I would definitely recommend for a beer with friends but I'm not so sure if it's worth eating here... I had a cheese burger with fries.. the bread was not impressive and the fries were really impossible to digest .. I think this place has lots of potentials (atmosphere, space, terrace outside) but food needs an extra effort .. this... More

Just off the Edgeware Rd near the Tube station this excellent Gastro Pub is a real delight. What you get is a friendly and very spacious pub with lots of tables, places to sit outside and great staff There is an excellent choice of beer - international and local cask ales - and stunning gastro pub food. I had the... More

Was recommended by friend to go for Sunday lunch, how pleased I was that I did, gastro pub is how I would describe it, large open spaces and plenty of seating. I chose roast sirloin of beef served very rare, it was delicious, roasted vegetables and roast potato, plenty of gravy served on the side. Although I was more than... More

Popped in with 4 business colleagues for lunch just before Christmas. Good selection of starters and mains, good beer, friendly service. All was going well and I would have scored it a 4, but the cheesecake served as one dessert was well past it's best. The waiter took it back and removed from the bill, but it should never have... I do go to this place from time to time either with friends or when bringing overseas colleagues out for lunch. The food is generally of a very good quality and the service is friendly. I usually go for one of their seafood dishes which I always find fresh and well prepared. The experience has always been good and well... More

I returned to the Chapel as a guest at another business christmas party, following on from last years successful event. This year did not disapoint as the standard of the food and drink was every bit as good as last year, with one exception. Last year we had christmas pudding, this year it was large individual mince pies which were... More

Great gastropub right by the Edgware Road tube station. Dined here many times during my stay in London. Particularly fond of their soups. Recommend to anybody 👌🏽👌🏽

For what was 10 years ago a beacon amongst Gastro pubs The Chapel is now a sorry shadow of its former self. Poor, uninspiring menu, and what was on it had some things not available. This place was fantastic but it's a shame to come back and spoil the memories of its former glory

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
