A minestrone which was chunks of old veg in coloured water. Pasta, thick and a sauce so thick it was like wallpaper paste. The other pasta was in a tomato sauce that was 90% tomato purée out of a tin. The tiny piece of chicken was dry and badly over cooked. The pizza was good. An expensive disappointment and really... Friendly greeting by the staff and it's a family run restaurant that provide gluten free (GF) dishes in almost everything on the menu. Therefore, the pasta (not GF) dish I choose with asparagus and ricotta cheese was eagerly awaited....but was so disappointed with the cardboard like taste and heaviness of the pasta. The sauce was like wallpaper paste. Stodgy, thick... More

7 people in our group, all had poor food, pasta was stodgy, chicken over grilled, even cappuccino was not made properly. Had to send back one pasta, then bill was not itemised- left feeling cheated

This is a nice little Italian family restaurant. The atmosphere is really laid-back, and friendly. Food was nothing pretentious or fussy, just good, home-cooking. Overall, it's a very pleasant place to eat.

Searched on l.ne for a Gluten Free restaurant near Waterloo station and this came well recommended. I entirely agree! Family run and very friendly. Owner is GF and they can provide virtually everything on the menu as a Gluten Free option. Wine was good and reasonably priced. Spent a very pleasant couple of hours our train and would highly recommend... More

Cotto is a small Italian restaurant owned by a man who has been gluten free for a long time. He is so nice and makes you feel at home. Everything but maybe four things on the menu can be made into gluten free. Me and my mom got the rigatoni matrigiana as well as the house wine and some bread.... More

Visited alone with my novel as I was working away. Was left to relax and sip.my wine before ordering as requested. Nice interior. Feels rustic and staff all speaking jovial Italian. Ordered chicken pasta which was hot.ans plentiful. No frills and not expensive either. Was fine for a spot of supper and a welcoming atmosphere.

Whenever I am in London I always make sure I have one night spare to visit Lino and his family at Il Cotto. The pizzas are terrific - but I nearly always settle for the Tuna and green olive "Puttanesca" with some added chilli. easy access via underground - less than 100 metres from Lambeth North station - Always Friendly... Quite by accident I discovered this little gem. Being down in London on business my hotel was around the corner and I fancied something other than the food in the hotel restaurant. Opposite Lambeth North tube station I walked past this little Italian restaurant. Walking inside I was warmly welcomed. The decor is relaxed and casual. The staff are friendly... More

I love the fact the majority of the menu can be done as gluten free however was a bit disappointed at the fact everything was more expensive if you wanted it to be gluten free... the food was amazing nonetheless and portion sizes were huge but just let down by the price difference for gluten free food.
