Very authentic, cosy and lovely service - definitely the best pizza I've ever tasted (surprising as I've been to Italy!) Can't wait to come back.

I'm so glad to see this small, family-run place getting the praise it deserves. It was the only restaurant we visited twice during a recent 5 day stay in London - it's that good. During nice weather, the low-key terrace is a perfect spot to...More

I live close by and have been here many times. The pizza is without doubt my favourite in London and I haven't had better in Italy. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the terrace is fantastically quiet, being off the main roads. I...More

Amazing authentic Italian food and wine! This is a must if you are in the Shoreditch/Islington area. It is reasonably priced and a great value. The service was great, very friendly, and clearly a family run restaurant. Do not miss out on this gem.

We went early evening and had three stunning pasta dishes, unlike anything you'd normally come across in a standard Italian restaurant. Really recommend this place.

Thank you for taking time to write a comment. We appreciate all our customers comments. We are sorry that, you did not enjoy our home-made lasagna. We would like you to appreciate that takes over two hours to cook lasagne, from the ragu to the final blast fridge. We use only fresh ingredients: fresh british minced beef from our local italian butcher fresh home-made besciamella sauce fresh grated parmigiano fresh mozzarella (bufala, bufala affumicata, nomale for 3 different lasagne italian plum tomatoes in tomato sauce basil, salt.pepper We have been established for over 24 years and conduct market research on going basis, which help us to determine our prices. All our prices are displayed on 3 different menus 1 Take Away 2 Dining In plus the Special Pasta of the Day ( Tortelloni,Ravioloni,Girasoli, Gnocchi ripieni)etc Our teas are served either fresh leaf or dried from our variety of infutions. They are served in a pot which fills the tea cup more than twice at least for £ 2.40. We give our time and upmost effort in making sure our customers enjoy their food and service. However we take these matters very seriously at SAPONARA and if you did not enjoy your lasagna and tea as goodwill gesture, we would like to offer you a refund. Marco Saponara

Hello, I have a question, is there any chance to enjoy for a gluten free pizza. (Not frozen) because I like it and I can't eat gluten. Thanks Josie
