Had a evening meal with my wife yesterday order Thai papaya salad which was like coleslaw with added lemons the taste was very bland then the tempura prawns which cost £17.50 for 5 was not make with the light Japanese batter but thick batter that I use to get from the local chinese takeaway , If there charging that price I am sure can found a proper Japanese chef to make that dish . The good thing I can say that the cocktails were very good. Not a proper asia fusion restaurant.

If you’re looking for a nice atmosphere and some nice Chinese food I think I would recommend this place to most people, but I feel like it is hiding behind its name and relying on its reputation. The food was ok, the duck rolls and tempura prawns were really, really nice! But the beef satay and squid was so chewy I wanted to spit it out! Couldn’t finish neither of those dishes, for over £10 a dish it was quite disappointing. Our waiter was a little bit useless, and kind of ruined my experience just a tiny bit because I felt like everything we asked for, he had no clue what we were on about, it made it quite difficult to be honest. When ordering drinks, there was literally 4 different white wines that they offered, which I was so shocked at! I had to get a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, which was disgusting, but at £70 bottle I just had to get on with it. Overall, it was nice, but I was actually looking forward to leaving. I would still recommend this place as I feel like I was just unfortunate with my experience, and it has the potential to be a really good evening.

My favourite for so many years but this time I was too disappointed.. The black cod was fully burnt so I had to ask for a new one… that was served almost raw!.. The service was a bit unhelpful and unhappy and the cocktails not at the quality I was used to

This place is appalling the service was disgusting the food cold and bland it was my daughter 25th birthday we waited for about 15 before we had to get the attention of some one to order are food, he came with a can’t be bothered attitude, when the food eventually came it was old. We bought a cake and asked to cut it they tried to charge £5 pp just to serve the cake in the end I didn’t bothered so we agreed to just bring the cake down and sing happy birthday which never happened they didn’t even bring the cake down stairs, my bill was almost £400 and for what no customer service no decent flavoured food. The girls in there was just rude i would not recommend this place and I would not be going back over charged drinks rude and disgusting. Should of followed my mind when I read the reviews thought I’d chance it never again.

I have never in my life been so disappointed with the service in this type of restaurant. It was my 30th birthday and I had been looking forward to dining at Buddha Bar having heard so many good things. We had saved our appetites for the dinner we were looking forward to having. My night was going well until my friends and I reached the venue. We were seated quickly but they then had us waiting 55 minutes before we were even able to request a drink. Everytime we tried to flag down a waiter they told us to wait and they will get ‘our waiter’ but they never came. I requested to speak to someone more senior and expressed my frustration to the manager Dimitri when he finally arrived 10 minutes later. He checked when we had checked in like he didn’t believe what I had told him and when he realised infact that we had been seated for an hour he gave no apology and instead said ‘I can’t help if we argue’. Really? A whole hour and we haven’t even had a beverage? You can imagine the frustration especially as it was my 30th, which by this point I had accepted was most definitely not going to end in the way that I had imagined the night to. I didn’t want to eat and would’ve left if it wasn’t for the fact that it was valentines weekend and everywhere was so busy. Around us, waiters were spilling drinks and breaking glasses and plates. It was all too much to take in. We were all so shocked at what was happening. We ended up getting a few things and again they took 45 more minutes to bring the mains out to us. By this point two of my friends had not had anything to eat at all and frustrated by this we all decided to cancel our orders and paid the bill which we had to wait 20 minutes for and left there hungry. The manager offered no empathy at all and offered dessert but after what we had experienced there was no way we were willing to accept this as compensation for the disastrous night we had experienced. I’m absolutely appalled at the experience as I’ve never experienced this in other similar restaurants anywhere across the world and believe me I’ve been to plenty. They will never be recommended by me again. I just can not understand the lack of ‘customer service’ and the way the management dealt with the situation. A simple sorry would have gone a very long way but either way we looked at it, it was as if we were asking for too much. This was such a shame as my friends and I are foodies and often enjoy eating out and will never look at eating here again. Not to mention ruining such a significant 30th birthday.

Upon arrival we were forced to pay 25 pounds as a friend was sick and couldn't make the meal. We were then taken to a squashed table. The waiter charged us 4.50 for 2 cups of water as he stole the rest of the water bottle of the table. I then asked for directions to the toilet, when an illiterate man pointed towards to washing up room. shocked I left and found it myself,The food came quick however the prawns were soggy, the barbecue chicken was fatty and the sauce was watery. Bit stingy on the alcohol in the cocktails tasted like squash. The rice has fat chunks of Coconut and Peanuts and Carrots?? Too much! Noodle 7/10 only Nice thing about it. We then waited around an hour for the bill, it wasent even busy. We got the bill asked to take the service charge off, the waiter horrified told the manager and gave us attitude, we didnt even get a goodbye he just walked off (and you wonder why we took the service charge off) The door men were nice though. Bad food, bad staff, bad service and not astheticlly pleasing would have rather got a mcdonalds and stayed in bed, overpriced aswell. Hakkasan will treat you good and the food is miles above.

I came here with my boyfriend as we like bars that have live music/a DJ and this seemed to have quite a cool vibe. On arrival, we were taken downstairs which we were a bit disappointed at as upstairs just felt a bit more lively but this wasn't a huge issue. However, when we got downstairs, despite there being lots of tables free, we were put on a table in the far corner of what I can only describe as a side-room where we couldn't even see into the main room. We only wanted a drink and a dessert to share but had to wait for ages for someone to come over just to take our order and when they did, the waiter never returned. Eventually we had to ask someone else. We then had to wait a while again before we received our cocktails (which were really lovely, expensive but only what I would expect to pay in London). However, when we finished our drinks and wanted to have another look at the menu, we sat for at least a further 40 minutes before eventually getting up to find someone to come over with some drinks menus. What made this even more frustrating was that waiters and waitresses were coming into the room to deliver drinks to the other two tables with groups sat at them but seemed to completely ignore us. Having worked in pubs and bars I am so conscious of how hard staff work, especially when it is busy and so am never one to be too fussed by having to wait a little while for things to arrive but there was literally no service here at all. They added on a £9 service charge, taking our bill for 4 drinks and one dessert to £75, which we asked to have removed and received the response of "yeah whatever" as he re-calculated our bill. We were really disappointed and wouldn't return, there are far far nicer places to go in London where you get the service and atmosphere that you pay for.

Firstly, although the interior deco is lovely, this is really where the good time starts and ends. The music is lovely but it was very low: the atmosphere was extremely boring and not the least bit buzzing or vibrant. The A/C was on FULL BLAST and it was not a hot/warm/boiling day whatsoever yesterday and my friends and I were freezing despite requesting that this was turned down a little. The staff are extremely dithery; they came across as if they have no experience in customer services whatsoever. The service was fast but that is because the venue was pretty much empty, however the staff were the most unfriendliest individuals I have ever come across. This does not bode well for such a high-end service.
Secondly, my friends and I were under the impression that that given the dress code and the outrageous prices for this place, the clientele would be dressed and behave accordingly. Now I am aware that behaviour of customers is not the service's responsibility, however there were a group of individuals present who strolled in in tracksuit bottoms, hoodies and trainers and were disrupting the restaurant quite significantly and the staff did/said absolutely nothing.
Finally, the food. Overpriced is an understatement and the menu is very limited. We had some very mediocre starters and then left to go to a far superior restaurant with excellent customer service and quality food.

We Went for afternoon tea what a waste of time effort and a day. We were the Only people in the place ,slow awkward service . They were not geared up for afternoon tea so why bother offering it.
They told us to get there by 4.45 pm at the latest but kitchen was not even open !
Then after a good start a glass of champagne everything just went downhill.
Food choice was checked for allergies - preferences etc.
it felt like ages before a morsel arrived the quality was average but a very forgettable experience .
We could not wait to leave but they couldn’t process our payment voucher for 30 minutes so we got up and went to the reception.
This continued for a further 10 minutes at which point I said this was the worst customer service I had seen in a so called upmarket restaurant.
I have been to their branches in Dubai and Prague which were in a different league.
Afternoon tea was a complete con .
No atmosphere
No vibe
Poor food
No bill
No can leave
Try elsewhere

The food was mediocre considering the hefty price. This may be due to location or some other factor however we felt like we were treated more like a number rather than a paying customer. Plates were taken away while we were still eating and we just didn’t feel welcome. We also had to pay a 13% service charge for service that wasn’t that good!

So disappointed. It started off bad and didn’t get better. We were seated in a very dark corner with a small table close to another couple, it took the waiter more than 10 minutes to come to us with menus and get our drinks order. We ordered mocktails, mine just tasted like strong lime sparkling water and my husbands tasted like cheap syrup. The food was ridiculously overpriced and did not taste good. I don’t mind spending a lot when I know the food quality is high and tasty but this was not the case. A service charge of 13. 5% is just cheeky you get better table service at Nando’s. I would not recommend going here at all, you’re better off not eating.

We experienced a very nice ambience and relaxed vibe in this restaurant. We were greeted by 2 lovely security guys and made to feel very welcome by the hostess at the front of house.
The service was excellent and our waiter was very accommodating and polite.
We ordered a lot of different dishes and all were served looking extremely appealing and at very high temperatures which is refreshing for a restaurant of this size.
We all had a really lovely evening celebrating our daughters 18th birthday and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a restaurant with that little bit of sparkle and glitz.
We left satisfied and very impressed.

I have been to most (nicer) restaurants in London. Worst one I’ve ever been to both in terms of food quality but also interior and vibe. Atmosphere, decor, and food quality is what you essentially want at a higher end restaurant.
The service was ok so I can’t really comment on that but of course I have read a lot of reviewers have had issues with rude staff.
It was my birthday dinner with family and so I asked for the minimum spend to be relaxed for my mum as she has cancer so cannot eat or drink too much that equates to £50 - I was told no immediately.
The lack of empathy and compassion was embarrassing. I had to repeat the fact that I was asking as she had CANCER! Eventually they agreed but then said our time slot would be reduced by 30 mins … were they planning on seating another family for 30 mins before the next booking?
Anyway: go to Mayfair - Sexy Fish, Novikov, Nobu, Amazonico, Mnky Hse, Coya etc etc if you want good service, good food, vibes and decor!

We have been many Buddha bar in different cities but never experienced this bad service and had bad food before at London Knightsbridge. As soon as we entered the restaurant very first thing the very sad looking receptionist said was each person need to spend £50, it was very shocking. Never experienced this type of welcoming in restaurant ever. Given Buddha bar at Knightsbridge isn’t this what you expect to pay anyway. I told the receptionist this is not very nice thing to say to your customers when they walk in but she said it is not her the owners asked her to say it. What an amazing way of promoting the business to make money. No wonder why the place was so empty on Saturday night. The decoration of the restaurant is ok, nothing special and bit outdated. The food was not good at all. The starts were ok but the main course was not good at all ordered Sea bass - tasted as if it was off and beef steak - very average. Not worthy at all. We don’t recommend it to anyone.

I have dined at Buddha-Bar 3 times in the past and the food is great however the reception and management staff are what ruined each experience. This final time was the last straw.
Our reservation was for 9.45pm however we contacted Buddha Bar prior to inform them we'd be there at 10pm which is within the 15 minute grace period. The restaurant confirmed this was okay.
When we arrived the receptionist had already given our table away to someone else even though we made a reservation. That was the final time for dining due to covid restrictions and we were turned away on the final night before tier 3 was in place. A couple in front of us in the queue who arrived at the same time were allowed in however we weren't for some reason. If a reservation is made you'd expect to be able to be seated. However Buddha-Bar give tables away to anyone willing to dine there not considering guests who have made reservations.
Hence the reason why on open table it says that I have dined there despite the fact that I was turned away - they handed the reservation to another party. We were taken downstairs initially and the receptionist saw that she had already seated another party at our reserved table which I find very confusing. She then offered to seat us at the bar only for her to inform us that last orders had ended despite the fact that she wasted our ordering time due to all the hassle about giving away our table.
The manager Yanna wasn't very helpful either in resolving this issue and kept repeating the same phrase in a rude manner. After admitting that she'd given our table our reservation away all she had to offer was a back and forth argument and an 'I have to ask you to leave'.
I was not happy with the experience I received and hope that a restaurant with an esteemed image would reconsider treating their guests unfairly in the future. Would not go back even if the dinner was free.
