It was my very first time in Gail's and I'm sorry to say it couldn't be more disappointing! Me and my friend placed the order at the counter (served by an unenthusiastic young lady) and took a sit. The two little cakes and teas we ordered arrive pretty fast but without any cutlery. Also the sugar was removed from the... More

We were looking for some lovely cafe to have a tea and since Gails Kitchen has a good fame we thought why not to try the bakery? So here we are. The display of pastry looks very tempting and thats the only thing that kept us in. The staff was far from welcoming customers and enjoying their job, no smile... More

Casual, friendly and a sight-seeing for celebrities in West Hampstead, a great place for freshly baked scones with clotted cream. Enjoy breakfast!

Gail's Bakery catered for a family funeral, and everyone loved the food. They were efficient and really helpful when I booked at short notice. They have a big range of delicious snacks and nibbles, really good for finger food. Many thanks!

Great coffee, good pastries and good service, In the heart of Soho, a short distance from from the crowds of Oxford Streetץ the perfect place to start your day or for a break and relaxation during a visit nearby.

We ate breakfast here twice while vacationing in London. Note that different locations of Gail's Bakery have different breakfast options. This location does not offer cooked eggs but they do offer french toast and other hot vegetarian options. The service was fast and very friendly, and we enjoyed our selections. We also took several pastry items back to the hotel... More

We were served a very small bowl of watery tasteless soup. It was supposed to be lentil, but there were only a few floating around somewhere near the bottom of the bowl. The soup was also lukewarm. When we pointed this out to a member of staff, he didn't seem sure what we expected him to do about it. Nice... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
