So I left this joint raving about the beers; the "sinner" beer flight is a real joy!! Extensive list of other European lagers, ales, beers, wheat beers and so on... Then the portion sizes for our food order was larger than expected and the mussels...More

Decent portions. We had a share platter to start and it was really filling. Fries were part of the platter so you won't need any in a main. We followed it with chicken salads which were really filling and very tasty. I'd order them again....More

I went for a dinner with my team. I ordered salmon pate as a starter and the sirloin steak with half a lobster for lunch. I had a Belgian beer to enjoy with that. The beer arrived and it was really good. That is where...More

This was my first visit to a Belgo although I believe the chain has been around a long time. It was a cold and rainy Sunday afternoon and we were looking forward to some mussels and frites to warm us up. The restaurant was empty...More

Great service by a waiter who really looked after us. Dined on a Saturday evening and there were tables to spare but a good atmosphere. We ordered the 6 king prawns as a starter to share between the two of us, followed by moules frites...More

Came here under a reservation for four people. It is clear that 90% of restaurants in Central are busy from 5pm onwards, however, service should not be affected. Jose the supervisor was rude and incompetent. We ordered a lot of food and drinks, and some...More

First Belgo experience did not disappoint. Mussel mains and beers were good. Service was also good despite being busy Saturday evening. Would go again.

They took 55 mins to bring out the food. I was on a work lunch and this was a joke. When it did come out the fish and chips I had was burnt and the mushy peas looked looked like watery slush. Not impressed and...More

It really does what it says on the can. Went in at 9pm with a colleague and we had the classic moules, frites and a flight of beers which was fun. Service good.

Description
Fancy food and beer in a bank vault? That's what the Belgo in London's Kingsway is offering as a converted former Lloyds bank, with the bank vault having been transformed into a Belgian beer cellar! Despite the building's history, the decor is contemporary and relaxing, but it's the beer list which is truly eye-catching, with over 250 beverages to choose from. The food is typically Belgian, offering treats such as Belgian Sausages, mussels and frites with mayonnaise, and a wide range of meat and vegetarian dishes. There are many fantastic, money-saving special offers throughout the year, but with even a three-course meal served at a reasonable price, this is one gastronomic experience that won't break the bank - even if it's in one.
