Top whack prices. Most of the dishes were very good; the fish broth was superb. The pudding was a big clumsy bowl of custardy gloop with a syrupy cake floating in it. My two year old would have loved it but compared to the interesting, balanced and beautifully presented dishes that went before, it was incongruous, badly judged and pretty... More

We managed to get a booking at Dabbous at 9pm for 3. We arrived 15 mins early and was asked to be seated in the basement where there was a DJ playing some music. The vibe was cool and hip but yet casual. There were only 2 menu - the dinner set and tasting menu. We tried both sets. Presentation... More

Dabbous is the kind of restaurant that makes you envious of the people who live near to it, as you can easily picture yourself dropping in a few times a week for a meal or a drink in the basement bar. I've had the pleasure of dining here twice in the past few weeks, the first time I had the... More

We finally managed to make it to this restaurant before it closes later this year. We like restaurants that focus on the food by stripping back the decor to the minimum, however the decor here was more Alcatraz than that millennium uber cool that downtown San Fran or NY always manages to pull off. That said, the food here is... More

My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant in March having considered different venues but liking the simple dishes at Dabbous. The cold starter of celeriac with lovage and hazelnut was a bit of a revelation. The components on their own were ok - in one mouthful and it was something far more special. The fish course was not so good,... More

We booked a table for 4 on what we hoped would be an evening of good food and conversation with like minded foodie friends. We selected the tasting menu and looked set for a delicious evening. Sadly although some of the dishes were excellent the others could only be described as interesting but the whole evening was ruined by a... More

Stopped in London for a couple of days on my way to a meeting in Portugal. Decided to try this new place (new to me, at least) while in town. I was not disappointed. Ambience is "cool hip." Music is low key jazz/house. Service is abundant. The food was excellent. Elegantly presented, creative, delicious. Set menu only: either 7 course... More

I had been meaning to go since the restaurant opened but my first visit will probably be my last. We had the tasting menu and with two carafes of medium priced wine ended up spending £240 for two of us. For that sort of money I expect exceptional food and exceptional service and while we all enjoyed the food to... More

Ok so this place is expensive Michelin star quality food. Tasting menu plus wine comfortably £100 a head. For that kind of money I expect exceptional- what I received was good at times very. Fennel salad, smoked eel, sea bass, chocolate ganache all super. Pear salad, duck soup left a little bit wanting. Pear salad was not bursting with fruity... More
