Was a season ticket holder at Fulham for just over 5 years. This was a fixture in the pre-match routine. Always packed with fans. Staff were very friendly and the grub was great to fuel me for the big match - nothing beats a fry up! My best memory was the Juventus supporting owners having mixed loyalties when Fulham played... Found River Cafe when I googled 'Best Brunches' near Putney Bridge Tube Station and what a find!!! Also couldn't be any closer, dead opposite the tube exit!!!! To call it an 'Old Fashioned Greasey Spoon' would give totally the wrong impression, yes it is a basic no frills Cafe with Formica tables (don't expect table clothes)!!! BUT the choice of... More

Several generations of a really professional Italian family look after you. They really know their business. Friendly, clean, great cafe food, very fair prices. Always happy to spend money here - it's old school, sweet as anything. Totally recommend.

This cafe shares it's name with one of my favourite restaurants, which isn't actually too far away. However for breakfast this is as good as it gets. Everything is freshly cooked, piping hot and cooked exactly the way it should be. If you want a proper english breakfast, this is it.

We came here for a late breakfast and found the staff friendly and polite. The food is typical café fare served in a no nonsense old fashioned café setting. The food is very good and in particular the poached Eggs and ham was perfectly cooked. Excellent value for money.

Calling this cafe a 'greasy spoon' would do the place a disservice. Quite possibly the best cafe in London. Serves breakfast and lunch in a traditional cafe setting. Family owned and run with great food. Staff always remember what you like and greet you like friends. Highly recommended. Five stars.

one fried egg, sausage, a on and beans and a cup of tea. £4.85. Fantastic value. staff friendly. Opposite Putney tube station. Half price of Bills but obviously not as sophisticated.
