I came here for the first time in a while and wished it had not been so long, truly I have miss this great little place. I opted for the buffet menu for a lunch time treat. Many delicious treats on the menu, all very...tasty and freshly made. All of the cooked dishes came hot and of of my dishes I ordered were very very tasty. I always would recommend the octopus balls as a stand out dish!!!! A very good service and welcome here always, I will not leave it so long to go back!!!!😋😋More

Simple fast service and great spot for a weekly lunch treat - I always go for a teriyaki salmon set recently and for £6.90 is so much good quality food. I like going here for the incredible fresh and tasty food and appreciate the no...fuss efficient service. I’ve not made it for the buffet yet as I only work in area so dine solo - but always impressed / envious by quality of food. Make sure you arrive with good time as the closing time is the closing time and they expect you gone promptly - but make this clear when booking and arriving. Thanks sushi cafe, you’re my favourite thing about working in Battersea 🥰More

For what you eat, and what you pay, it's a good restaurant. Very cheap, normal dishes. Like any normal sushi place, nothing special. Very small, overcrowded, not familiar. And the waiters are not so warm and friendly, idk why. It's just my experience there, maybe...others have had different ones.More

Came for lunch with a friend and we thoroughly enjoyed the majority of the dishes! The fish is all of fabulous quality and the portions are generous. We ordered from the All-you-can-eat menu and had a mixture of sushi, sashimi, tempura and stir fry items....I was impressed with all the sushi rolls and the salmon sashimi, and we also thoroughly enjoyed the tempura and katsu items. The one thing we were slightly disappointed with was the overall flavour of the oyster fry- not as palatable as it sounded on the menu unfortunately. But I do highly recommend: salmon sashimi, spicy tuna rolls, chicken udon, chicken gyoza and chicken satay. We overordered and ended up having to pay a £5 supplement but to be honest, it still amounted tk great value for money!More

I have been to this restaurant so many times and food is great, the staff has always been great and helpful, but on my last visit I had one of my worst experiences at restaurant in my life. The staff is completely new and we’ve...been trying to book a table for the last 3 weeks and we finally managed to do so. Our table was booked for 9pm. On the day of our booking we got a call from the restaurant explaining that kitchen closes at 9:30, which is absolutely fine, we always go there for the “all you can eat” and 30 min to order would be more than enough. Arriving at the restaurant before they put us on the table the receptionist told us that we couldn’t have the “all you can eat”, which was the only reason we were there. We tried explaining we even got a call from the restaurant and nobody said we couldn’t have the buffet, if they told us on the call we would’ve canceled the reservation. We decided to stay anyway because we were all hungry and there were no other restaurants in the area. We decided to call the manager to explain the situation and it was all for nothing, he was extremely rude and had no explanation, he just kept saying he called us and left us a message, which was a lie, because we spoke to him on the phone and he didn’t tell us anything about the buffet. The manager then told us we could go for the buffet, but only order once, we decided to go for this option and he changed his mind saying we couldn’t do that coz we were going to order too much food and he was going to have to charge us if we left any food on the plates (even if we left I’d be more than happy to pay, but we were not going to leave any food.). The manager was unable to apologize for HIS MISTAKE. And not just that but the receptionist was also extremely rude pushing us to make our order at 9:15 saying that if we didn’t order in that exact moment we were not getting any food because the kitchen was closing (may I remind you that they CALLED US to tell us the kitchen closes at 9:30 and that was the time for the last order...9:30 not 9:15) This was the worst experience I’ve had in my life at a restaurant and I do not recommend anyone to go there especially if you’re looking for good/caring costumer service.More

Sushi Cafe seems to be busy every(!) night of the week. The All You Can Eat menu is vast and the staff organise ordering and delivery with military precision. You won't be waiting long before you're enjoying your first round. I recommend opting for the...Sushi and soups over other dishes. The quality is very good and you won't be disappointed with both the amount of food, as well as the flavours and authenticity. A great Japanese option in South London.More

A sushi-full experience! It’s a once in a while place, but when I go, always the buffet and an assortment of Sushi to satisfy the cravings, delivered in plateful amounts and lovely service.

I've never eaten so much sushi in one sitting in my life. The value for money aspect (£16.99 for 3 rounds of ordering) is excellent - my friend and I estimated that we'd eaten approx. £50 worth of sushi each, if ordered a la carte....The quality was good, particularly considering the nature of the buffet. Particularly enjoyed the salmon sashimi (we ordered loads each round). We left 5 pieces of Cali Roll and one chicken skewer and asked about the wastage charge. They waitress (reddish/pink hair) was a delight and told us if we could manage two more pieces of roll we wouldn't be charged, so we did. Just. Service was good and the bill for two, including service charge and two beers each, was £54.50, which was crazy considering we could barely walk after eating so much. We didn't need to eat anything else all day. Glad this was recommended to us and will look to visit again in the not too distant future.More

Sushi Cafe offers a wide variety of options for a good price. Because we are in these ~unprecedented times~ the food was 25% off. We did buffet, which means 16.99£ per person, 3 rounds, 6 items per person per round. It was more than enough...food and we didn’t even come close to being able to try it all, and were very satisfied with the quality and flavour of the meal. HOWEVER, as dining out is not only an experience of the taste buds but also the general ambience, this restaurant merits perhaps a bit less than four stars. The staff was nice enough, but seemed stressed and overworked. We had to ask for water four times before we got any. Another important point to note is the noise level. While the staff of course can do nothing to help this, i would advise anyone with auditory sensitivities to choose elsewhere to dine. The room is small, square, and hard walled, and all the chairs are hard as well. There is nothing to absorb any noise and so everything is very loud and chaotic, even at half occupancy. My table found ourselves shouting to hear each other over the rest of the room, who was shouting to be heard over us. Anyway, if you don’t mind a little noise I would still go back as the price value was appropriate.More
