The Delaunay is a firm favourite of mine, and my spirits always lift when I walk into its stylish Grand Cafe-style dining room, dominated at one end by an enormous clock face. Crisp napery on the tables; crystal glasses; and great food. While it is...More

TL;DR – The Delaunay is right up there with The Wolseley. Have the kedgeree. Longer version.... Whenever we’re up in London for the night we like to grab a decent breakfast in the morning. To be honest, it’s usually the Wolseley but we decided to...More

It’s always excellent at the Delaunay and last night was no exception. All six of us had a a lovely meal. We didn’t have starters, but enjoyed various main courses including the sausages, fish pie and (my favourite) beef stroganoff. We ordered four side dishes...More

The place is very central, around Strand. The food is by no means the best you will find, but it has good service, very good food, and a nice comfortable seating. Have visited several times and will continue to do so, given the nice food...More

This was not quiet what I expected. A large loud restaurant/ cafe. The food is great but the noise from the crowd is quite off putting. There is a wide mix of people having brunch and or afternoon tea. The staff are ok a little...More

Nothing wowing I found - service was great but no attention to details; my bread came without a bread plate. The napkins left fluff on our cloth - second time I visited. Food was good, not much can go wrong w a steak tatar and...More

A glorious restaurant, on the Aldwych, so within a short walk of the West End theatres. A group of six of us had a pre theatre dinner, with a table booked for 5pm. Service from arrival to departure was superb. The food was superb, beautifully...More

Just like being in Vienna. Super smart grand cafe. Set up to please. Beetroot and goat curd starter looked and tasted great. Ditto citrus salmon tartar. Main of glistening perfectly cooked cod and Stroganoff much enjoyed.

We used the private dining room. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent. The cod was cooked to perfection- an art form for 20! Great ambience in this old style restaurant.

Beautiful everything here in Aldwych. It's a perfect place for a light bite for lunch or Brunch. A must as the Teas here are Terrrific! The place reminds me of the Grandness of a French Post colonial Brasserie with Austrian overtones. Lots of Charm and...More

Sorry, can't help as we don't drink much wine, but recently a three course dinner for four of us with three beers cost around £230 excluding service. It was worth every penny.
