Two summers ago, we had dinner at this spacious and beautifully decorated, mirrored restaurant near the theatre district that evoked traditional French brasseries. At that time, we were sorely disappointed by the dishes that we had ordered and the service we got. But on a...More

Had lunch today at the Delaunay. Lovely setting, great atmosphere. The Restaurant was very accommodating and the service was excellent. The Fillet of Beef Stroganoff and Plaice Goujons were both delicious. The other thing I liked was we ordered a carafe of wine to be...More

We arrived on a lovely bank holiday Monday to find the restaurant fairly quiet. Seated at a nice table in the centre of the room. Cocktails of Singapore sling and a Warsaw martinis which took ages to arrive and finally arrived after our starters had...More

I was taken here for a birthday treat after my partner forgot my birthday. He knew he had to make it up to me. The meal was lovely, and he enjoyed his usual schnitzel in his favourite restaurant. I had the steak tartare which was...More

I use The Delaney a fair bit for friends, business and pre theatre. The pedigree of the ownership shines through with friendly staff, fairly priced food and wine of good quality. No Michelin stars just honest food and service. Hooray. Try the worst or the...More

The Delaunay is very close to Covent Garden and is a lovely option for lunch. Judging by appearances you could be forgiven for assuming this restaurant is fancier and more expensive than reality! The setting and service are both of a very high quality. We...More

Afternoon tea with two small grandchildren - 6 and 9 - and they adored it. The food, the attention, the incredible service. Have decided it will be a regular event.

Cab, if you don't know where you are going should cost about £5 from Covent Gareden tube, or if you are in high heels. Otherwise, it's about a 6 minute walk from Covent Gareden tube. Hope it helps.

Very much in the European Grand Café tradition, the menus range from breakfasts, brunch on Saturdays & Sundays, all-day snacks, coffees, afternoon teas, sandwiches, platters of crustacea, ice-cream coupes, patisserie and cakes, and a full à la carte, with a daily changing plat du jour and an extensive selection of schnitzels and Wieners.
